What does it look like when God steps into an impossible situation? 👀

In Mark 5, we meet a man tormented by a legion of demons -- someone no chain could hold, no person could help, and no human solution could fix. Then Jesus showed up, and everything changed.

This Sunday, we were reminded that we serve a Deliverer. The same God who calmed the storm, healed the woman with the issue of blood, and raised Jairus's daughter is the same God who can break every chain in your life. As David declared in Psalm 34:4, he sought the Lord and was delivered from all his fears. That promise still stands today.

No matter what you are carrying, whether it's trauma, addiction, anxiety, sinful patterns, or pain from your past, you are not beyond his reach. He went to the other side of the sea for one man. You matter to him that much.

Sometimes we delay obedience because we keep waiting until we have more. More time, more resources, more confidence, more experience. We convince ourselves that what we can offer right now isn’t enough to make a difference. But God has never asked us to have everything figured out before we trust Him with what He’s placed in our hands.

Maybe your next step isn’t about getting more. Maybe it’s about being faithful with what you already have. The gift, the opportunity, the time, the little bit of strength you have left. Don’t let comparison convince you that what God gave you is insignificant. Surrender it to Him and let Him decide what He wants to do with it.

One of the hardest parts of trusting God is not knowing HOW He is going to do it. We want the plan, the timeline, the confirmation, and preferably a little preview of how everything will work out. But faith means learning to trust God’s character even when we cannot see His strategy. His silence doesn’t mean He’s absent, and your inability to see a solution doesn’t mean one doesn’t exist.

You don’t have to figure out the entire process to trust the One who is leading you through it. Stop measuring what God can do by what you currently have in your hands. The same God who provided in the wilderness is still able to make a way that you could never have arranged on your own. Your responsibility is to remain faithful while you wait on Him.

Sometimes we become so focused on what’s missing that we forget to recognize what God has already done. We can spend so much time looking at the next blessing that we overlook the grace, provision, and answered prayers that brought us this far.

Gratitude doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect. It means choosing to remember God’s faithfulness even when life doesn’t look the way we hoped it would. Before you focus on what you still need, take a moment to remember what God has already carried you through. There was a time you prayed for what you have today. Don’t let the desire for more rob you of the joy of recognizing His goodness right now.

What we normalize in our homes will speak louder than what we emphasize for a few hours at church. The next generation is watching what we reach for when life gets hard, what guides our decisions, what gets our attention, and whether our faith still matters when there’s no microphone, music, or congregation around.

We cannot expect them to build their lives around a God they only see us prioritize occasionally. Let them see prayer become a reflex, Scripture shape decisions, forgiveness happen in real time, and obedience cost us something. Long before they understand everything we teach them, they’re learning from the life we live in front of them.
