Reflecting on God's Faithfulness in 2025

Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry,

I always find this week between Christmas and New Year's to be a quieter moment...a chance to pause, reflect on God's faithfulness throughout the year, and prayerfully consider the eternal impact we long to make in the lives of children.

At Child Evangelism Fellowship of Southern California, our mission remains steadfast: as a Bible-centered organization of born-again believers, we exist to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in a local church for Christian living. In 2025, we've seen the Lord use Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs, summer ministries, and countless outreach events to reach thousands of children right here in Southern California with the life-changing message of salvation through Jesus.

As we approach the final days of 2025, many of us are thinking about year-end giving and the opportunity to support ministries close to our hearts. The Power of God’s Word
Every day we witness the changed lives of our students. I met Daisy at a Good News Club. When I asked if she wanted a Bible, she produced this Bible out of her backpack.
She told me Ms. Chang gave it to her 2 years ago! Sure enough, the inscription reads: “School year 2019-2020.” Even though we had not seen Daisy for 2 years—she had a Bible, the very Word of God had nourished her soul throughout the Pandemic!

California Mid-State Fair!

Our Child Evangelism Fellowship® volunteers faithfully shared the Gospel throughout the 12-day Fair. We are rejoicing that God used the CEF® booth to share the Gospel with 4,162 people. We were ecstatic when 126 people professed to put their trust in Jesus Christ for the first time. These are huge increases over last year’s numbers. Our primary goal at the Fair is to be available to share the Gospel with anyone willing to listen, and we thank God for using our little booth in such a big way.

Camp Good News®!
It was wonderful to see our volunteer staff serve these kids selflessly throughout each week. We had 214 children participate in Camp Good News® this summer with an amazing 38
professing to put their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Many children went home with the Holy Spirit in their heart and a brand new Bible in their hand.

I was particularly touched when a girl from an older cabin who had been coming to camp for many years had a real change of heart. This camper has had a challenging life and has continually pushed God away and looked for answers to her pain in all the wrong places. How pleased I was to hear that this camper told her counselor, “I didn’t really believe in God before, but I do now!”

Another camper journey that really stuck out to me was that of a boy who was really struggling with homesickness. When he realized his mother wanted him to stay and wasn’t going to pick him up, he went from sad to mad and eventually back to sad. His counselors faithfully poured into him throughout the week, and on Thursday night, he prayed to receive Jesus as his Savior. With the Holy Spirit living within him, he had a great last day of camp. What a transformation!

Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™)

We finished our first completely in-person Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA™) camp in two years. This program trains teens and young adults to teach children the Gospel and how to lead a 5-Day Club®. What a great week. There were 60 students who participated and together they taught at 14 different 5-Day Club® locations. A total of 234 children were reached with the gospel and 38 children made first time professions of faith in Jesus!
