Gordon Gadway, long time member of First, passed on April 30th. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 5th at 11am @ First Ev. Lutheran Church. Pastor Sipes will be officiating. Please pray for his friends and family.

Deb Gulzow will be this weeks highlighted council member on "Do You Know...?" Facebook addition. She is a 2026 elected member of the council.

What do you love about First: "Mixture of traditional and contemporary services, such as special prayer events and practices to remember our baptism. Also the friendliness of our congregation."

How do you see first fulfilling our mission statement: "Our many outreach programs, such as the quilts, gathering of food, school supplies, Christmas shopping, etc. Events in our church such as Spring Gathering of women, Lenten dinners, Thanksgiving dinner, and religious studies."

Fun fact about yourself: "I enjoy attending a variety of events such as concerts from classical to pop artists (must say the "oldies" are my favorites). I also enjoy Husker sporting events. Some people have famous ancestors-mine started King Oscar Sardines in Norway- Ok, probably only famous to the sardine crowd."
