Elder Williams Lee, Founder and Builder of Oakwood Chapel Church in the year of 1889, Elder Lee and family came to Oakwood. Elder Lee organized a Prayer Band and the membership grew until they were pressed for a meeting place. Elder Lee made a little harbor to hold their Religious Shrine at Blues Corner & Sewells Point Road. Webb was the first Pastor. Later they built a church on the site of E and

Elm Avenues. Elder S. Farrow was the first Pastor of the new Church. Dr. Earl J Eaddy, Sr is our present Pastor.

Oakwood Chapel invites you to come and receive a Thanksgiving To-Go Plate tomorrow from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at the Day Care Entrance.

As a church, we believe in sharing the love of Christ through service. If you or someone you know could be blessed by a warm meal on Thanksgiving, we welcome you with open hearts.
