Our missionary focus this Sunday! Please pray for Rodney and Pam Kinch of Wycliffe Bible Translators. As a church, Calvary has supported the Kinch for many decades.

Bible translation helps people encounter God through Scripture in a language they understand clearly.

When Scripture becomes accessible, people can understand it together, teach it in their churches and carry its truth into everyday life. Its influence can reach far beyond the first person who receives it.

As of July 1, 2026, that hope is carrying translation work forward in 169 countries and territories, with the potential to reach 2.1 billion people.

The scale is extraordinary, but every project represents people who may one day read, hear or see Scripture in a language and format they understand.

Many people are still waiting for the full counsel of Scripture. Yet around the world, God is already at work through people who pray, give, translate and serve. Together we are moving toward a vision greater than any one person or organization: God’s Word for all people.

We long for that day with hope, grateful for all God is doing and expectant for all that is still to come.

Praising the Lord for the life and ministry of Janet Keim. Praying for her family and friends who are mourning her.

Toby here…

It’s with a mix of deep sadness and triumphant hope in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that I share with you the passing of CPC's founder, Janet Keim. She entered the presence of her blessed Redeemer late last night with her two cherished sons at her bedside.

I am writing this to you through many tears. Janet Keim was one of the most influential people in my entire life. The Lord used her to bring me on staff here at CPC over 26 years ago, and my wife, Karen, and I served with her as volunteers five years prior to me joining the staff.

Janet Keim influenced so many people during her life, even though most never got the chance to meet or thank her. However, because of the Lord's powerful work through Janet at CPC for over 40 years, thousands upon thousands of preborn children got to take their first breath of air; a multitude of moms, dads, and families in crisis have been deeply cared for; and much . . . so very much . . . has been made of Jesus.

I called Janet, "Momma CPC". The Lord used her to help birth this ministry so many years ago, and she was like a mother to me. I will cherish the memories, will miss her greatly, and yet, I rejoice that she is in the arms of Jesus now.

More information about funeral arrangements and ways you can honor Janet will be communicated soon. In the meantime, please pray for her family as they grieve, and please give thanks to God for how He used this remarkable woman for the good of so many in our community and for His glory.

So grateful for Jesus,

Toby DeBause, President

Are your spiritual eyes open to the work of God around you?

In yesterday’s message, "Blessed Are Those That See and Believe," Pastor Mark J. Bender continued our journey through Studies in Luke: The Compassionate King. Looking closely at Luke 10:21–24, we unpacked the incredible privilege believers have today—to witness and experience the fulfillment of God’s promises that prophets and kings long to see.

Whether you missed the live service or want to reflect on the message again, we invite you to listen and be encouraged in your faith!

Scripture Focus:

"For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it." — Luke 10:24
