Application Challenge for the Week

So, here’s your challenge this week:

Look at Peter’s list in verses 2 Peter 1:5-7 p.1175
5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

Pick one virtue—just one—that you sense God is calling you to grow in.
Maybe it’s self-control—and you need to set some boundaries.

Maybe it’s perseverance—and you need to stay faithful when it would be easier to quit.

Maybe it’s love—and you need to stretch beyond what’s comfortable.
Pray about it.
Write it down.
Take one small step toward growth.

Ask a friend for accountability.

Memorize a Scripture that speaks to that area.

Practice the virtue in a specific moment this week.

Whatever it is—start building.

Because a life that’s built on Christ and shaped by His character?
That’s a life that’s faithful to the finish.

The Winds of Change - “The Command to Wait”

Before God sends His people out, He calls them to wait on Him.
In a culture obsessed with movement and productivity, waiting feels like weakness—but in the Kingdom, waiting is preparation.
The disciples didn’t need better strategy; they needed divine empowerment, and they needed to trust God in the waiting.

Prayer: “Lord, teach us to trust You in the waiting and not rush ahead in our own strength. Shape our hearts in this season so we are ready for all that You are preparing us to step into.”

The Winds of Change - “Living in the In-Between”

The disciples had the right message but not yet the power to live it out.
Jesus had risen, the mission was clear—but they were still waiting.
Many believers live in this same tension today: saved, but stuck; called, but not activated.
The Christian life was never meant to be lived in our own strength.

Prayer: “Lord, help us to stop striving in our own strength and teach us to wait on You with hearts that are fully surrendered. Position us for Your power, and prepare us for all that You desire to do in and through us.”
