I can hardly believe that another year and another trip has passed already. My cup is overflowing. What a blessing to have a new crew with us this year and get to know them better! God has been reminding me regularly that He is the God of the impossible! So many stories you hear at the Acres revolve around how God did and is doing the impossible still! Here are some highlights from our trip! All glory to God!!!! -Kayla
Over the week the guys painted 2 coats on an entire house... the basement and every wall upstairs, stained a deck and a porch (that house has come along so beautifully), landscaped a house (I wish I was able to get some before pictures.), gathered all the trash around the acres... thats a job!!! And helped with a couple unexpected situations that came up.
As for Gab and I, we enjoyed bringing the trouble to the Acres with our incredible friend, Jess. The dinos were around off and on driving through on the cart, watering flowers and just wrecking (good) havoc. We cleaned the library, sang at church, had the opportunity to visit with many of the residents (including one who moved into an assisted living, drank waaaaay to much coffee, prepared the meals all week for all of us, hosted a birthday party for Alek, enjoyed the new amazingly beautiful laundry room, made cookies and ice cream to share around the acres with the residents, gabby visited with a couple and got spoiled with some fun making crafts and we visited with Mrs. Storey who taught her about Jamaica and a song she learned on the field that Gab will take back to school and sing to her class.
This week is my favorite week every year! I wish i could express with my words just how incrediboe it is to be out there but I cannot find the right words. Thank you all for your prayers! We are back home and ready to share all our fun stories with you on Sunday!
