Grace Ladies’ annual August picnic was held Tuesday, Aug 4, at 5:30 at church. It was organized and set up by President Lin and her crew. There were 26 in attendance, including Dorothy Snider’s daughter, Terri, who presented Grace Ladies a $500 check in memory of her mom. Thanks to Doug and Randy for grilling the hotdogs and hamburgs to go with all the yummy side dishes and desserts. Thanks to Lin and daughter, Janice, for leading our games, a take off from Wheel of Fortune, called Wheel of Faith.

Our September meeting will be Tuesday the 15th, beginning at 6PM with guest speaker, Mel Burow (Lin’s sister) who will share about DAR - Daughters of the American Revolution.🇺🇸

Today we were privileged to recognize our senior members who are celebrating birthdays this year in their 80’s, 90’s, and one who recently turned 101. Many of them have been members of Grace all or most of their lives and have participated in numerous activities at Grace through the years. After worship, we sang a rousing version of “Happy Birthday” and enjoyed a delicious cake and fellowship in the chapel with family and friends. We are thankful for all of the blessings God has bestowed on these special members during their lifetimes. God is good!

God finds me, no matter my sin. 1 Tim 1:15 tells us “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” We had 19 on our final night of Tropical Trek VBS. Thanks to all students, families, youth helpers and adult staff for all you did this week. All are welcome to come to our Sunday School starting in Sept from 9-10:15.

God finds me when I have no hope, and gives me JOY!! Today our 22 students heard the story from Luke 24:1-12. Jesus Rises from the Dead!! We used colorful sand to make beautiful butterflies. 🦋 And we played a fun game, as the pictures show, in our church basement due to the weather. Our snack was strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. Come join us tomorrow from 6-8 for our last night of Tropical Trek VBS.

God finds me when I’m lost, Jesus came to seek and to save. Twenty students heard & saw the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus, made seek and save binoculars, had veggies, dip & popcorn, sang songs during opening & closing, and some got a little wet and refreshed playing a game outside .Two more days—bring a friend (6-8PM).

Tropical Trek day 2 - “Fear not, for I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10.
Tonight we learned about Ruth and Naomi and that God finds me when I’m lonely. He will always be with us, so we don’t have to fear. We had 19 students, 10 youth helpers, and 10 adult staff who enjoyed the Bible story, songs, games, refreshments , and crafts. Hope to see everyone Wednesday evening from 6-8PM. Bring a friend!!

ALOHA! From our Tropical Trek Vacation Bible School. Eighteen students joined us for our first night where we learned that Jesus came to seek and to save. Our opening, games, snack, craft, and closing all centered around “God Saves Baby Moses.” Hope to see everyone—and more—tomorrow night from 6-8 PM.

Ralph and the Grace Ladies had a fun field trip today, Tuesday, June 9. We met at church at 9:30 to carpool and headed to Grand Island. Our first stop was at Orange Poppy Studio on Baseline where Bonnie Nevans and Katelyn Pantano led us step by step to make our own original mosaic picture frames. Then we headed to Brick Oven on Gr Is Blvd for a very yummy lunch. Finally we stopped at Kelly’s Country Store to shop around and buy candy. Check your summer Gleanings for info on our summer picnic at church in August.

Fourteen ladies met on Tuesday, May 19 , to plan upcoming activities and events.
They will be shared in our yearly brochure. Alice Moll started the meeting with a devotion “Hang it on the Cross.”Our June field trip is Tuesday, June 9. Meet at church parking lot at 9:30 to carpool. Leave church at 9:45AM to go to Orange Poppy Art Studio where Katelyn works part time. It’s on Baseline Rd, Grand Island - across from St Stephen’s church. We will be making a mosaic picture frame. Cost is $10. Then we will be going to Brick Oven on Gr Island Blvd for lunch, followed by a stop at Kelly’s Country Store just down the street before heading back to church.
A sign up sheet, sample picture frame, and restaurant menu are on glass case in Chapel. So far, 13 have signed up - come join us!!

We held election of officers. Motion was made, seconded, and passed to keep our present officers for 2 more years: President- Melinda Matiasz, VP - Robin Stephenson, Treasurer - Ursula Zimmerman, Secretary- Virginia Markel, Publicity - Jane Schulz.

No meeting in July. Summer picnic at Grace at 5:30 on Tuesday, August 4.
Watch bulletins for details. Thanks to all who participated in purchasing Treichler gift cards- especially Robin Stephenson, who sold 63 cards. We made a profit of $625. Thank you to Luann Pyska and Kris Lathrop for hosting our meeting with yummy food & drinks!!
