We had so many children come on Thursday we had difficulty in finding seats for everyone! It really gives us joy as these little ones Disciple wherever they go, inviting others to come and learn about Jesus!
One of the boys comes an hour early every week and tells us he just wants to come to Church. He is very sweet, and artistic, whose beautiful coloring of our verse is in the photos.
Proverbs 12:22
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
We taught from the story about Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5. This is a very drastic example of what happened when they lied. But it shows just how much God does not appove of lies. We are thankful that we serve a God who is love and forgives so generously, who is patient and desires that all of His children come to repentance.
Which is what we told one of the children who lied about something and said "well, I didn't die!" That is because He loves you child.
We have been serving the Lord for over ten years now, teaching the next generation the Truth. Many are now responsible young adults working for a living and giving back to the Lord. It may not be currency they give, but they give of themselves. They come back and serve the Lord alongside us, helping us to teach these little ones.
We do our best to teach, not only the Truth but instill into each child a work ethic, becoming productive members of society, and giving back as their hearts lead them...
Which sometimes is right back here, to The Potter's Field.

On Wednesday we had quite a few teens as they continue to invite others to come and learn about Christ. As we get closer to our Kingdom Bound fundraising event we talked about giving. Our scripture was 2 Corinthians 9:7;

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

We are truly thankful for all of you who give from your hearts, helping us to give this lost generation the opportunity to know Jesus through His Word. You can see in the photos the teens reading aloud this story in the Bible.
As we always do, we opened the night with prayer. Our eyes filled with tears of joy as the young man prayed such a beautiful prayer thanking God for Sister Stacey, Brother Paul and all who help to show love to the youth of the inner city.
We asked the teens who would they want to give part of what they earned back to, which is one of the stories they read about giving a portion to the Lord. As expected they named several charitable organizations, which warmed our hearts.
This is not just talk for them, they will do as they say. As we expand with more and more youth and children alike, we are in dire need of more space. These children pray that the City of Niagara Falls act more like they do, acting upon their words, as it is written;

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Sunday started out like most days, feeding hungry children nourishing food for both their bodies and souls. We prayed over the children and for the food, taught from the Bible, had the children participate in activities based upon the story, which was about the widow who had nothing, but gave all.
Luke 21:1-2
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
However later during the day we received a phone call from a child who was taking care of many at home. She said that there was nothing to eat, could we help. Of course we can, so we did. Later the child called again, this time crying profusely. Taking from the lesson learned from the Bible story, she wanted to share what she had with others who also have little.
This is another sad reflection upon why we have been called to teach these little ones from the inner city. When the adult in this little ones life found out that she tried to share what she had, she was severely scolded and was forbidden to share.
Before you judge, please be reminded that we don't truly know what the environment is, most of these little ones and thier families have nothing, and yet are doing their best to take care of children that are not their own. All of which, is heartbreaking.
We pray over all the children and their families every day, we are heartbroken at times for many reasons...
But we are thankful that the children are learning, and taking what they have learned into their homes. We pray that just as thier hearts have been changed, so will the hearts of those they are sharing the Gospel with.

Luke 21:3

“Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others.

As we gather together with family and friends today, let us reflect upon just why this holiday is called Memorial Day, as some gave all. Blessings to all!

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Last night we had so many children at The Potter's Field, as I was taking some home I saw a friend who asked me, how do we maintain calm with so many children.
It's funny that he asked that, seeing as our story and activities were based upon a storm in Mark 4;
A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
It can seem as though we are being swamped with so many children in such a small space. It is loud, seemingly chaotic, but in the midst of all, the children are learning. I stand amazed week after week as my wife asks the children about what they learned last week, and in sync they recite and sign the scripture they were taught, through the waves of noise that fill the room.
Councilwoman Bridgette Myles wrote to us in email;
What a blessing. Thank you so much for providing the much-needed foundation for the youth and their families. We appreciate you!
Thank you Bridgette, we appreciate you as well, and we are thankful that it is the Lord who laid this foundation, we only serve Him.
The waves of noise heard here at The Potter's Field is like that in Ezra;
And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.
We often weep with joy in hearts and praises on our tongues in this House of the Lord, and it is peace that we feel as watch these little ones laugh joyfully and play as they learn about the one who does calm the storm...

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Last night after the powerful prayer, and enjoying a meal prepared for us by someone who cares, we taught from James 1:22, doers of the Word.
We celebrated our beloved Fran Cerrone Marcantonio birthday. This scripture is who Fran is, someone who cares for others and lives the Word, rather than just knowing it. James writes that a doer who acts will be blessed in their doing, as we are sure that Sister Fran was last night, as the youth surrounded her singing happy birthday and loving on her, just as she, loves on them.
Happy birthday to our beloved Fran, may your life be as blessed as you have blessed so many, we love you so much!
