The final warning Peter provides in his first epistle to believers who are suffering in exile is to be prepared to stand on teh grace of God. They did not attempt to earn salvation on their own, nor should they attempt to continue in salvation on their own. Though adversity will come and the adversary will act, we must be confident in our Savior and stand firm in our faith!

In worship this Sunday we will celebrate the ordinance of the Lord's Supper with the conclusion of our Living Hope Sermon Series. Peter's Epistle called persecuted believers living as exiles in a hostile culture to persevere in their salvation, specifically enduring to the end. With that in mind, Peter provided a warning about the adversity and the adversary we face. With that in mind, we will declare our hope in the Savior and the victory we experience through His death and resurrection at the Lord's Table. Join us this weekend for Sunday School at 9:45 AM, Worship at 11, and our quarterly business meeting following Worship.

Humility is necessary for both the church's leaders and the congregation itself. Humility is the opposite of pride, which is the origin of sin. With humility, we do not trust ourselves for salvation; instead, we cast our cares, concerns, and anxieties upon God.

But this encouragement is not only for pastors, but also for church leaders and the entire congregation as it leads us to rely on God and cast our cares, concerns, and anxieties upon Him. Join us this morning at 11 o'clock for worship as we develop humility as part of our Living Hope in Christ.
