In our discipleship time this evening, we begin a 12-week exploration of the Nicene Creed. Though Baptist are a confessional, not creedal, people, we can use this ancient statement of faith to provide an outline for defining the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. Tonight at 6 PM, we will explore the who, what, why, when, and how of the creed as an introduction to the Nicene Creed and the reasons it is important to have a firm grasp on the doctrines it affrirms. If you are a long-time disciple of Christ, a new believer, or just wondering what Christians believe, you are welcome and encouraged to join us on this journey!

Even one of God's prophets recorded the complaint and questions he brought to the Lord. We had a special guest preacher yesterday in Worship! As we began exploring Habakkuk's journey from Questions to Confidence, the prophet came to introduce his pronouncment, himself, and his prophecy to us. And, in doing so, Habakkuk encouraged us to Act upon the vision that God gives, whether that be to receive His provision of salvation or to serve Him through the ministry of His local church.

Join us tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock for breakfast honoring mothers and godly women in our congregation, at 9:45 for Sunday School, and remain with us for worship at 11, where we will begin a new series of sermons through the book of Habakkuk. Habakkuk brought his questions to God, and, though God's responses led to more questions, the process led the prophet to an unshakable trust in the Lord. It will be a good day of fellowship and worship.
