New Hope Outreach Ministries exists to meet the physical and spiritual needs of orphans, widows, handicapped and the elderly on the world scene. We have teams of local volunteers and staff in five countries – Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.

Update on our previous post!

These two twin babies are still in the hospital but thriving. Our team leader visited them bringing wipes diapers ect. Once these little ones are discharged she will come back and supply the adopting family with more diapers wipes, bag clothes ect. Please keep praying for the development and health if these babies.

A pregnant Ukrainian women recently met members of our team. She was homeless and living on the streets, pregnant with twins. The father was not in the picture and the mother didn’t want the babies.

A member of our team felt called and went home and spoke with her husband about fostering/adopting when the women gave birth.

They were born prematurely, a boy and a girl and have a long road of recovery ahead of them but our team is overjoyed to be apart of their journey and welcome them home once they are released from the hospital. Praise be to God!

Please pray for their health and development as they continue to grow stronger with each day ❤️

“It was our first time visiting these children, and they were so tense and withdrawn that I had to begin the program with candies to help them feel comfortable with us. Since they are very poor and rarely get to see or taste sweets, their faces immediately lit up with smiles. After that, the program went very well and was truly blessed.” -Leader of our Ukraine Team

Art therapy with a group on young women who have all graduated from neighboring orphanages around Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
Our team strives to connect recent graduates and hold programs like this as a place for them to safely gather, connect and build relationships with one another.

This past couple weeks our team in Ukraine dedicated their time to reaching into the rural outskirts of Odessa. Many of the children had never heard of Jesus or the meaning of hope.

Our team traveled on average by foot 2 or 2.5 kilometers to each shelter, going through deep mud and fields, carrying everything in their backs, food, supplies, gift bibles ect.

The children were so excited to see them when they reached each shelter, jumping for joy!

“This is a program at the Mykolaichuk family-type shelter.

There are many children there.

And this is how the shelter began:
A woman named Natalia already had several children whom she and her husband were raising. Then she became very seriously ill and was admitted to the hospital.

She was given a very discouraging diagnosis and scheduled for surgery. The doctors gave her little to no chance of survival. Before the operation, Natalia prayed to God:
“Lord, if You spare my life, I will leave the hospital and take in an orphan.”

The surgery was successful. She survived, left the hospital, and told her husband that they were going to adopt a child. He agreed.

Then came another child, and another, and another…
And that’s how a large shelter came to be.

Thanks be to God!

Unfortunately, one of their sons is fighting in the war and has been labeled missing.”

“I am a Business Management student. In the future, I hope to start and manage my own business, and also return to my passion for fashion design. With faith, determination, and hard work, I believe I can achieve my dreams.”

Ruth Minale Agmasu
“Looking ahead, I’m still determined to keep studying and I still dream of becoming a medical doctor and starting a foundation to support vulnerable children and elderly people.”

Tsige Tzazu
“After completing my studies, and with God’s guidance, I hope to manage a hospital and also start my own business. My ultimate goal is to help people—because seeing others happy and receiving the support they need brings me joy. Helping others is my biggest dream, and it fills my heart with purpose and happiness.”

Rahel Much Amlaku
“I’m a Health Services Management student. In the future, I hope to help others who face struggles like mine, just as God sent helpers to me.”

As you know, New Hope Outreach Ministries has been supporting four Ethiopian girls, Rahel, Ruth, Selam and Tsgie, for many years. You may remember reading their stories earlier this year. Each of the young women were orphaned at a young age. These young women are now attending the University of Africa in Zimbabwe and are thriving!

These women love Jesus and have had to overcome so many obstacles put in their path. Not only have they overcome these challenges but they excelled and exceeded expectations. When they first arrived in Zimbabwe, all their classes were in English giving them another unforeseen obstacle to overcome. Through prayer, tutoring and dedication they have worked hard to make English their second language and become fluent. We could not be more proud of the young women they have become. We are excited to watch them finish their studies and graduate 🧑‍🎓

In Kyrgyzstan, our team arranged an art therapy event for young women who have graduated from orphanages. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were hesitant to leave at the end of the night. We intend to organize many more similar events in the future, as this has proven to be a valuable means of establishing connections and building relationships.

Please join us in prayer as another part of our team partners with YWAM and visits villages to preach in rehabilitation centers and local orphanages.

Greetings from our team in Ukraine! 🇺🇦 Although the power, heat, and water services have been partially restored, they remain available for only brief periods. This has marginally improved daily life, which remains extremely difficult. Our team has been utilizing the available power to bake food for the children in their care, preparing extra for special trips to nearby villages. They provide baked goods and additional food to the most in need within these villages.

New Hope Outreach Ministries exists to bring the love of Jesus to those the world often overlooks — orphans, widows, the handicapped, and the elderly.
Group homes for the handicapped, both physically and mentally, can be one of the most overlooked and under supported. With limited state funding and access to activities, these homes can feel isolating for it's residents.
Our team takes regular trips to these group homes, bring games, lunch and laughter. Building connection and relationships with these kids is made easier by performing comedy skids, doing crafts or simply being listening ear for them to talk to.

Our team lead in Odessa sent us an update late last night 🙏🏻. Please join us in prayer for Ukraine, particularly the Odessa region, which suffered a brutal airborne attack last night.

As of early 2026, Odessa remains a primary focus in the Ukraine war, facing intensified Russian airstrikes. Notably, a significant and record-setting attack in December 2025 caused extensive damage to both energy infrastructure and port facilities. Many in the region remain without power, water, or heat due to the attack aimed at throttling Ukraine's economy.

With the constant need for supplies and limited resources, our team is doing whatever it takes to provide shelter and provision for those in need. This week, this looked like members of our team going to their own closets and handing out their own coats while waiting for supplies to arrive.
