Today's scripture is from the book of Jonah 📖
Are you familiar with the story, Jonah and the whale?

Did you know that Jonah was swallowed up by the whale and set back on the path God had for him because he initially ran from God's call? Interesting right?!

✨️ Sometimes running from God, takes more effort than obeying God.
Ask yourself,
•Is there something you feel God is calling you to do that you’re avoiding?
•Are you “running” in subtle ways—distraction, delay, excuses?
•What might obedience look like in your situation right now?

✝️ Bring it to God. His call is greater than our excuses!

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for speaking clearly and calling me with purpose, just as You called Jonah.
You are a God who sees, who cares, and who reaches out—
Lord, forgive me for the times I run from You. Forgive me when I choose my own direction instead of trusting Yours. Like Jonah, I admit there are moments when I resist what You’re asking of me. Help me to stop running. Give me courage to obey, even when it’s uncomfortable or uncertain.
It's in your loving name I pray, Amen

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10

This verse may be short, but is a powerful reminder to stop striving, worrying, and trying to control everything. God is asking us to be calm, trust Him, and remember that He is powerful, faithful, and in control even when life feels stressful or uncertain.

“Be still”.
Take a moment and rest, rest your mind and your heart and surrender to Him all your worries.

Lord,
Help me to be still and trust You.
When I feel worried, overwhelmed, or afraid, remind me that You are God and You are in control.
Give me peace in my heart and help me rest in Your presence. Lord, teach me to trust You more each day.
In Your name I pray, Amen. 🙏🏼

Joshua 1:9 ✨️
Some of us know it well because it offers a powerful message of courage!

God spoke directly to Joshua in this verse. He suddenly found himself tasked with leading millions of Israelites into the Promised Land.
God knows the weight of the task and the anxiety it brought Joshua, but He also promised to always be with us!

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for promising to be with me wherever I go. When I feel overwhelmed, anxious, or afraid, please remind me of your constant presence. Grant me the strength and courage I need to face the challenges of this day. Help me to trust in your power rather than my own abilities.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our nation. Their selflessness reflects the deepest kind of love. We hold their families in our prayers today, asking God to bring them comfort and peace. 🇺🇸🙏

📖 Today's scripture is from Jeremiah 1:7-8

Verse [6] says, “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
Jeremiah was making an excuse, claiming to not measure up to the task God had planned.

But when God gives instructions, he releases all the resources, the way to go about it, the grace and the anointing! God reassures Jeremiah here, " Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you..."

✨️ The promise isn't that Jeremiah will not face conflict, but that God will deliver him through it

Father God,
Remove all fear of failure and the fear of what others think of me. Grant me the courage to go wherever You lead and to speak with boldness and truth. Thank You for the ultimate promise that You are always with me and that You will rescue me!
