Newfoundland Moravian Church is the congregation that founded Newfoundland, PA formerly called Hopedale, PA. It is an historic congregation, with a friendly and down-to-earth style. Newfoundland Moravian Church is part of the Moravian Church, the oldest Protestant Church in the world. It is considered a "main-line" church, and its theology is best defined by its mottos:

"Our lamb (Jesus) has conq

uered; let us follow him!" and

"In essentials, unity;
In non-essentials, liberty;
in all things, love." Moravians avoid making doctrine, and prefer to emphasize that we should all try our best to be like Jesus, and, in all things, to love one another. If you have found other Churches be too stuffy, or too theoretical, you may find kindred spirits with the kind people at Newfoundland Moravian.

Our church is looking to raise funds to replace our broken ADA chairlift. If you are interested in helping I ask that you make your donation online at MMFA.com. The minimum donation is $10.00. You will need to give your name, address, email address and phone number. The six ministries with the most "people" donating will also receive, in addition to your donation, $2,026. So it's not how much you donate but the total number of people who make a donation that matters. For Your donation to count it needs to be made anytime this Tuesday, February 17.
