This Sunday marks the final Sunday of Advent. Together, we will light the fourth candleā€”Love.

ā€œSee what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!ā€
ā€”1 John 3:1

God loved us so deeply that He sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. As we light the candle of Love, we are reminded of the hope, peace, joy, and love we have through Christā€”the Savior who came for all.

This is the good news we live and share: a Savior has been born. We do not have to be afraid, because the King has comeā€”come to bring hope, peace, joy, and love to the world, and to each of us personally.

As Christmas draws near, we rejoice together in the love of Christ. If you are searching, wondering, or simply wanting to know more about this good news, we would love to walk with you and share the story.

Join us this Christmas Eve as we gather for our annual candlelight serviceā€”one of the most beloved traditions at Newberg Friends. Our Bell Choir will open the evening, inviting us into a time of worship as we celebrate the coming of our King.

In the middle of all the planning and holiday bustle, weā€™re reminded to pauseā€¦ to sit at the feet of Christ, to worship, and to give thanks for the One God sent to bring light and life to the world.
