“While He was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the house of Simon the l***r, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume… She broke the jar and poured the perfume on His head.” — Mark 14:3
True worship has always come with a cost.
The woman with the alabaster jar gave Jesus something precious. She didn’t hold back, calculate the expense, or worry about the opinions of others. She simply poured out her best before the Lord.
Today, worship may cost us our pride, our comfort, our time, our tears, our obedience, or our willingness to trust God when we don’t understand the outcome. But what we surrender to Jesus is never wasted.
Others may not understand your sacrifice. They may question your devotion. Yet God sees every act of love, every prayer prayed in secret, every step of faith, and every offering given from a sincere heart.
Don’t be afraid to pour out your best before Him. The fragrance of true worship still fills the room and touches the heart of God.
Keep worshiping- Keep trusting- Keep surrendering.
Your worship is not measured by what you keep, but by what you’re willing to lay at the feet of Jesus.
