OUR HISTORY

In 2009, PureWater Ministries was founded as an outreach in Mid-City New Orleans. This ministry, which was originally started as a one night ministry outreach to the broken, was such a blessing that we have now been serving Mid-City for over 4 years. Each week, we host a bible study and community dinner open and free to all who desire to be a part. During these years, we have fed fa

milies spiritually & physically, helped believers to grow in service-evangelism & prayer and have seen many souls won to the Lord. We have loved on the addicted, the afflicted and the hurting in our community. It is our experiences with the healing power of God that makes us do what we do. Healed people...heal people. As we continued to grow, we noticed a deep need for more ministry in the community. After prayer and counsel, in February 2013, we launched Champion Church in this same community where we have served for 300 consistent weeks. With Pastors and volunteers from other local churches, our launch week was a refreshing time of ministry. Pastor Antoine Barriere, Pastor Steven Hixon, Pastor Laurie Adams and others came to share a word and show their support for what God is doing through the ministry. The charge, by these great ministers of the gospel was received and now we're moving even deeper into what God has assigned. Experience has taught us that the people we serve need a place to come for more fellowship & true discipleship. We pray that the body of Christ would pray for and with us during this season. We're just ordinary people doing what God told us. Jesus is building His church! We're just happy to be a part.

Shawn wanted to share his testimony to encourage someone else. Thank God he finds time to serve in the same neighborhoods where he faced his struggle. We are so grateful to him and so proud of what God is doing in his life.
