John 4:4-24
What Is a Worshipper Apostolically?
1. SAMARIA (the mix place) creates the thirst
2. God created man with a capacity that only He can fill.
When God formed Adam, He placed eternity inside humanity.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
"He hath set eternity in their heart."
This is why people are always searching.
a. Searching for purpose.
b. Searching for identity.
c. Searching for significance.
d. Searching for acceptance.
There is something within every person that knows:
a. There must be more.
b. Life must have purpose.
c. There is something beyond this present world.
d. We were created for something greater than temporary existence.
This is why people continually search for:
a. Meaning
b. Identity
c. Purpose
d. Destiny
e. God
f. Because eternity cannot be satisfied by temporary things.
Prophetic Application
God has placed within every human being:
a. A longing for what is beyond them.
b. A hunger for what is eternal.
c. A desire for what only God can fulfill.
That is why a prepared worshipper eventually discovers:
"My thirst is not really for things; my thirst is for the Eternal One."
Sermon Statement
"Ecclesiastes 3:11 teaches that God placed 'olam'—eternity—in the heart of man. Therefore, every human being carries a divine hunger that cannot be satisfied by temporary wells. This is why worshippers are born when eternity encounters the Eternal God."
