REVIVAL
PART 1: Who Needs Revival?

II Chronicles 7:14: "IF My People, which are called by My Name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK My Face, and TURN FROM their WICKED WAYS; then will I HEAR from Heaven, and will FORGIVE their sin, and will HEAL their land."

I would love to be involved one more time in a REAL, HOLY GHOST, HEAVEN SENT, BIBLE BELIEVING, SIN KILLING REVIVAL!!! We would see lives radically changed!!!

REVIVAL is for GOD'S PEOPLE to RENEW commitment and service to Him. But when that happens, lost people will also become convicted as well.

As God's People we need to come back to CONSCIOUSNESS to His Will, to be AWAKENED and RENEWED by the Holy Spirit, to REFOCUS on Jesus and the Great Commission, to put GOD FIRST in our lives.

What about YOU??? Would YOU like to see a Genuine, God-Sent REVIVAL in YOUR LIFE and YOUR CHURCH??? God will give it to us, if we follow His Recipe of II Chronicles 7:14!!!

Preeminence
Words Have Meaning

Christ, God's Son, is the Image of the Invisible God; and He is due our Preeminence, "First Place, Number One."

Colossians 1:15-18: "Who is the Image of the Invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist, And He is the Head of the body, the Church: who is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the Preeminence."

1-Jesus CREATED, (made), us and all of creation, by Him all things consist.

2-Jesus RE-CREATED, (saved), us. II Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become NEW." Jesus will make the NEW CREATION, (new Heaven and new Earth).

Jesus should be Number One in our lives. He desires, deserves, and demands to be Number One. So, where is He in your life? Remember, one day, "Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, that Jesus is Lord."

On a scale of 1 to 10, where is Jesus in your life? Is He Number One in Worship, in your living, your giving? Serious questions for us all to ask ourselves. A person can even be a church leader and Christ still not be Number One in his life!

What about You??? Where is Jesus???

SIN SICK SOUL
Words Have Meaning

Where can we find HEALING for a SIN SICK SOUL? In Psalms 119, we find 176 verses. Each one tells us the BEST COUNSEL of all is the Word of God!!! Proverbs 12:14 says, "Where no Counsel is, the people fall, but in the Multitude of Counselors is safety."

Human counselors suggest self-helps, think positively, helping others, etc. Professionals often say it is the fault of someone else. But, instead of grabbing a pill or asking someone else, GO to GOD FIRST. He is our Creator and Sustainer, who knows exactly what we need.

God has a PLAN for our LIVES. We need to SEEK His WILL. Jesus lived as a Man and experienced more than we ever will. He will not just give you Self-Helps, but HIS HELP and HIS ADVICE, for He is the Great Psychiatrist!

We need to openly, honestly, humbly see God's help with our SOUL NEEDS, and our LIVES. It can also be good to seek a Mature Christian to PRAY with, who will help search the Word of God with you. Then, by Faith, you need to accept the COUNSEL of GOD.

1-God's Counsel for the LOST SOUL: God wants each one SAVED, which is very clear in the Bible. Believe in Him and Repent, Receive Him as Savior. That's the FIRST STEP.

2-God's Counsel for GOOD ACVICE: As His Children, we all need His Instruction in every area of our Lives, how to spend our time, money, and resources. All of us need God's Advice.

Seek God's Counsel First!!!

AS FOR ME
Words Have Meaning

In Psalms 26:11, David said, "AS FOR ME, I will WALK in INTEGRITY, be merciful unto me."

Joshua 24:15 says, "But AS FOR ME and my HOUSE, we will serve the LORD."

It's hard to find MEN of INTEGRITY today. The words means, "a man who always keeps his word and does what is right."

David had gone through a crisis. The people around him were vain, wicked, dissemblers. But, David CHOSE to WALK in INTEGRITY before God and the people.

As we live in the world around us, we need to be MEN (and WOMEN) of INTEGRITY, showing the lost world a Genuine and True Christian Life.

And like Joshua, we need to CHOOSE to LEAD our FAMILY in SERVING GOD!

As Men of God, we need to take Charge, LIVING in this LAND, TAKING a STAND!!!

Men, we need to say, "AS FOR ME," I am COMMITTED to a LIFE of INTEGRITY and SERVICE to my SAVIOR, Jesus Christ, pointing my Household and Others to Him!!!

THE DOOR
Words Have Meaning

John 10:9, Jesus said, "I AM the DOOR: if any man enter in, he shall be SAVED." Door in Greek is "thurs," and means an opening or entrance, a passage in.

For several years I led a Bible Study at a Factory that made Metal Doors. It was amazing to see the process, from the big rolls of steel, to the finished product. It was amazing about the opportunities that came to me when I went THROUGH that DOOR and shared the GOSPEL there!

All the way from Genesis to Revelation, DOOR is prominent. In Genesis 6, God told Noah to build an Ark to the SAVING of his HOUSEHOLD. There would be ONE DOOR in the SIDE of the Ark, (a symbol or type of Jesus who said, "I AM the DOOR."). Then in Genesis 7:16 we are told, "Noah went in and GOD SHUT the DOOR." All those outside the Ark drowned, forever lost because they would not go through the door to the Salvation God had provided.

In Matthew 25, Jesus told us of Ten Virgins waiting for the Bridegroom, (Jesus). He came as they slumbered. Five were ready, (Saved); five were not, (Lost). Those ready, (the Saved), were invited through the DOOR and went in to the Marriage. Then the DOOR was SHUT and the others who were unprepared, were Lost forever.

Once I tried in Atlanta to get an earlier flight to Huntsville instead of having a long layover there. I ran to the gate, but was told, "I'm sorry, the DOOR CLOSED five minutes ago."

JESUS is the ONLY DOOR to Heaven. Soon He'll COME BACK for those who are ready, (Saved). Revelation 4:1 says, "I beheld a DOOR OPENED in HEAVEN: and a VOICE said, COME UP HITHER." The Saved are part of the Church and will be CALLED UP to go THROUGH the DOOR to HEAVEN in the RAPTURE. But those who have never accepted Jesus as Savior, will be LEFT BEHIND to end up in Eternal Death. Once that DOOR is SHUT, it will be TOO LATE.

Please, be SAVED today!!!

ALTAR
Words Have Meaning

Hebrews 13:10 tells us that we have an "ALTAR," a MEETING PLACE between GOD and MAN. In Genesis 8:20, Noah built an Altar when he came off the Ark. Also, Abraham and many of the Patriarchs built Altars as they moved place to place.

God the Father had His Own ALTAR, and it was just outside Jerusalem, (CALVARY), the place JESUS was made the SACRIFICE for our sins. So now we can come before the Throne of God in Heaven, where Jesus INTERCEDES for us before the Father. We do not need to bow at a man-made Altar to meet with God. We can meet with Him in a NEW WAY through HIS SON, wherever we are.

Although we can bow to pray at an ALTAR in a Church, we need to be careful not to do so only out of habit. When we bow at an ALTAR, it should be to meet with GOD, and never a show of the flesh.

We should DAILY come BOLDLY to God's Throne of Grace in our Homes!!!

Thank God, we can BOW our head and BEND our knees at anytime, anywhere, anyplace, to MEET with GOD. And it's called PRAYER. Jesus made this possible when He died, rose again, and now sits at the Right Hand of God, making INTERCESSION for us. We HAVE an ALTAR!!! Sinners can come for Salvation. Saints can come to Praise God, Thank Him, make Supplication for our needs to be met, and to Intercede for others. There we can WORSHIP GOD!!!

Have you BOWED at the ALTAR of SALVATION??? God is WAITING for YOU!!!

RECOVER
PART 5: LOVE
Words Have Meaning

LOVE FERVENTLY

How many of us can remember that FIRST LOVE, the Honeymoon Love it's called, and how we gave all our attention to our spouse, nothing else was more important. Then after awhile, we needed to be careful not to start taking our relationship together for granted, (not just going through the motions while not enjoying each other as we first did).

I remember the same FIRST LOVE when I was SAVED. I wanted to be at Church among God's People all the time.

At Ephesus, they had LOST their FIRST LOVE. John the Beloved told them how to RESTORE it, (to REPENT and TURN FROM whatever had come between them and their LOVE for the LORD), which would turn their attention back to God.

Revelation 2:4: "Thou hast LEFT thy FIRST LOVE. Repent and do the first works." Stop going through the MOTIONS of MINISTRY without LOVE.

How can WE recover our FIRST LOVE today? We all need to do that at some point. We need to spend QUALITY TIME in God's Word, Prayer, and Sweet Fellowship with our Savior, our Church, and other Christians.

That's when we will experience REVIVAL, REFRESHING, and RENEWAL, and our FIRST LOVE RETURNS!!!

RECOVER
PART 4: FEAR
Words Have Meaning

PART 4: FEAR GOD and worship Him with Reverence, knowing God will punish sin.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they were AFRAID as they heard His Voice in the Garden, (Genesis 3:10). Solomon wrote in Proverbs 9:10: "The FEAR of the LORD is the BEGINNING of WISDOM." It is "Reverential Awe." We show it by respectfully worshipping Him. But, most people seem to have LOST the FEAR of GOD today.

Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit in Acts 5:4. Peter told them, "You have not lied to men, but to God." They each fell down dead and GREAT FEAR came to all the Church.

My brother and I would play basketball after coming home from school, just as long as we could. But, we stopped to get our chores done before Dad got home. We FEARED and RESPECTED him and we did not want to displease him and face the consequences.

Years ago a drunk man would walk down the street on the opposite side of a Church, for RESPECT and FEAR of GOD. What has happened to us today??? People are flippant about God and worship, calling Him, "The Man Upstairs" and such. Many go to Church dressed like they're going to a ballgame or to the beach.

We desperately need to RETURN to having REVERENTIAL AWE for God!!! If Christians will do that, then the lost will take notice!
