City Church New Castle

Today was one of those Sundays that reminds us what it means to be a church family. ❤️

As our kids head back to school, we wanted them to know they aren’t going alone—they have a church family praying for them!

Today we handed out the names of our City Kids to people in our church to take home and intentionally pray for throughout the school year.

We’re praying for courage.
Faith-filled friendships.
Protection.
Kindness.
Encouragement.
And for the teachers and staff who will pour into them every day.

Each student also received a Pencil Prayer to take with them as a simple reminder: your church family is praying for you.

We love the picture of our church family carrying the names of the next generation home with them and continuing to pray long after Sunday is over.

City Kids, you are known, you are loved, and you are covered in prayer as you begin this new school year! 🎒✏️❤️

We’re recovering from an AMAZING Block Party!

The forecast may have changed our plans, but it definitely didn’t stop the fun! We moved the party indoors and our community SHOWED UP!

The RiverPlex was full of families, friends, food, laughter, games, and so much energy. What could have felt like a setback turned into a pretty incredible night—and one we won’t forget anytime soon.

A HUGE thank you to every volunteer, vendor, community partner, and person who came out and rolled with the change of plans. You helped make the night what it was!

We love this city, and nights like this remind us why.
