We know what it’s like these days: between going to work, getting household chores done, running the kids (or grandkids) to activities, and so on – life is busy, complex and at times overwhelming. It’s inevitable; we become disconnected from family; from friends, from God. In this “culture of disconnected lives,” Water’s Edge UMC strives to be a place that fills the gap by presenting Christ as th

e essential ingredient to a fulfilling life. Once we connect with God through Christ our values begin to reset, and we start to reconnect with family and friends. This process in turn leads to the genuinely full and abundant life God desires for each of us. Water’s Edge UMC’s approach to ministry is geared to guiding people though this process, which is also known as discipleship.

At the Movies starts this weekend! What can the movies we love teach us about faith, life, and what it means to be human?

This September, we’re going At the Movies! Each Sunday, we’ll take a different movie and use its story as a starting point to explore some of the big things we all wrestle with—hope, relationships, struggle, courage, purpose, and the unexpected places we find grace.

You don’t need to have seen the movie.
You don’t need to know anything about the Bible.
And you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out.

Just come as you are, grab a seat, and join us At the Movies.
