“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after me.
I, I am the Lord,
and besides me there is no savior.
I declared and saved and proclaimed,
when there was no strange god among you;
and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God.
(Isaiah 43:10-12 ESV)

But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay." (Matthew 28:5-6) Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Three of our board members are joining me in Israel in a little over two weeks. Of course, Israel and the U.S. and the entire Middle East are currently preparing for a major conflict. Prayers are appreciated for our forces, the nation of Israel, the citizens of Iran -- and that our 16 day apologetics study tour would go forward and be a success despite it all. An earlier Israel tour I was to be a part of a couple of years ago was cancelled for safety issues....so I have waited for several years to take this trip! Pictured is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, believed by many to be the site of the crucifixion, and burial of Christ

Today the LDS commemorate the 1846 exodus out of Nauvoo and onto the Mormon Trail to the Great Salt Lake Valley. Leaving Illinois was a departing from the USA with the hope of building a Mormon theocratic kingdom in the West. The 1848 discovery of gold in Northern California quickly erased these dreams, as nearly 300,000 Americans soon headed out west pursuing dreams of their own...and helped secure the region for the United States.

We are pressing ahead with the Bible Museum with a workday scheduled for this Saturday. We will be completing the demo required for a new handicap accessible restroom. Drywall is being hung, and one or two new exit doors will be set in place. Recently overhead lighting was installed in our gift shop and library. We are still awaiting the arrival of the beautiful new entrance doors and windows.

Three of our board members and I are departing from Chicago for Israel in a few weeks for both archeological study and to secure additional artifacts for our museum displays. I will also be looking for unique "made in the Holy Land" gift items for our store. Thanks for your prayers and financial gifts as we work toward our goal of reopening the Bible Museum on June first!

Tonight on Newsmax The Tabernacle Choir Christmas program was aired. Question: Why do those narrated programs always include Bible readings but never from the Book of Mormon? BTW, The Book of Mormon states that Jesus was born in Jerusalem! Also, The Book of Mormon broadway show is coming to Eugene, Oregon next month (where Im spending my Christmas holidays). An LDS temple is opening here is April!
