RAINFOREST FALLS DAY 5!! We made it! What a great week!
Bible Verse: "But we will bless the Lord from this time on and forevermore. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 115:18)
Bible Story: God gives John a vision of Heaven. (Revelation 7:17; 21-22)
Catholic ID: Trinity knot (Triquetra)
Saint of the Day: St Thomas Aquinas
Hard to believe our VBS week has come to a close! But it was not a quiet closing at all-- Our Bible Buddy Howie the Howler monkey sure had something to say about that! Did you know that the howler monkey's calls can be heard over 3 miles away?! I think our campers tried to copy this feat today! Our craft was making Howie the Howler monkey in 3D- and boy did the kids have great fun zooming their monkeys all over, along with howls galore! We did have quiet prayer both upstairs in Church, and downstairs during our bible story which was wonderful before the monkey howls erupted. Today we learned that although most things in life do not last forever, and that they fade away-- God's love for us is FOREVER! God lives outside of our understanding of time- He has a love that is permanent, it will never wear out, and will never leave! His home is waiting for all who trust in Him! God's glory shines so brightly! God isn't just powerful for a moment- He is forever. God's Kingdom, love and promises never end. Our snack was a special sundae to celebrate our last day- with chocolate sprinkles.. or if you ask our Bible Buddy Tia the giant anteater from Thursday, she might say they were ants!! We also had a great team scavenger hunt outside to find ALL 5 of our Bible Buddy friends- stuck to trees, branches, posts and more! We closed the day with a group photo for each family as a memento of our fun week at VBS!! Many many thanks to all the volunteers who made this week possible- their unending enthusiasm is a blessing. Thank you for sharing your kiddos with us this week! We hope they shared with you some of the many bible stories and other things they learned this week! See you next summer! God Bless!

RAINFOREST FALLS VBS DAY 4-God is LOVE
Bible Story: Jesus dies and is risen again. (Luke 22:39-24:12)
Bible Verse: "O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever." (Psalm 136:1)
Catholic ID: Jesus the Good Shepherd
Saint of the Day: St Catherine of Siena

It was another jam packed day at VBS! We met our Bible Buddy, Tia the Anteater and learned some cool facts about the lives of anteaters in the rainforest. We sat together at the foot our cross at VBS and heard the story of Jesus' Resurrection- from the stone laid across the tomb to his Rising on Easter Sunday.. His love for us is more powerful than anything in the world! WOW, God!
Our junior leaders presented awesome info about the life of St Catherine of Siena including the fact that she is a Doctor of the Church- Amazing! Our snack was rainforest rumble trail mix and was voted by our campers to be one of their favorites! At prayer time we were up in church, and we also went on a scavenger hunt- how many crosses are there in the church? Practically too many to count.. They found several hundred! Our craft had the campers creating a wooden cross embossed with red, blue and purple- representing the blood and water that flowed out of Jesus' side from the lance, and the purple for the forgiveness of our sins that Jesus bore for us.. Our outdoor games were wet and splashy- relay races with sponges and scoops.. but it was a warm day so we didn't mind getting wet! Can't believe tomorrow is Friday and our last day at VBS!!

πŸ™ NEW HAMPSHIRE CATHOLIC APPEAL 2026 - GOAL REACHED! Thank you, Saint Christopher Parishioners! πŸ™

We are thrilled to announce that our parish has reached β€” and exceeded β€” our 2026 New Hampshire Catholic Appeal goal!

Thanks to the generosity and prayers of our parish family, we raised $50,906 against our goal of $45,335.

This year's theme, "Jesus, I trust in You," couldn't be more fitting. Your gifts reflect the love of Christ and support the ministries of the NHCA throughout our Diocese and beyond.

To every parishioner who gave, prayed, or spread the word β€” thank you! This is what unity in our community of Faith looks like. ✝️
Jesus, I trust in You!

RAINFOREST FALLS VBS DAY 3!
God is our safe place.
Bible verse: "I cry to you, O Lord; I say, 'You are my refuge.'" (Psalm 142:5)
Bible Story: David hides from Saul (1Samuel23-24)
Catholic ID: Breastplate of St Patrick
Saint of the Day: Saint Patrick
Another whirlwind of a day! Singing and dancing and meeting our Bible buddy, Dottie the Ocelot. Father David joined our campers downstairs for a quick intro to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and what that means. Some of our friends had been to adoration before with school, or their family or with VBS last year, but for some it was a new experience. We went upstairs to church and Father David led everyone in a guided meditation while adoration took place. Father brought the Monstrance down to the children and they were able to see and touch and experience Jesus in the Eucharist up close! It was a wonderful time of prayer and reflection with our VBS campers and Father David and Jesus.
Our outside game was Ocelot spot tag, with ocelot spot stickers everywhere! Face painting was still a big hit today, but we added in some parachute fun, as well as a few rounds of a splashy Drip Drip Drop game! We had ocelot spot pudding for snack which was a tasty treat! Our junior helpers have been leading the charge to present the Saint each day and today was no exception- St Patrick brought many to the faith in Ireland. Creative juices really got flowing with 2 crafts- The Breastplate of St Patrick which most campers wore home, and a second craft- David hides from Saul, which was also our bible story today. The cave where he hid certainly helped keep him physically safe, but David truly found his safety in the presence and promises of God.

Rainforest Falls VBS Day 2- Today was a HIGH energy day! Today's theme- GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING! Our bible story is taken from Psalm 139- David celebrates all God knows. God knows our hearts and sees all of our struggles and all of our triumphs. He knows the deepest part our very selves.. we are seen by God in all that we do.. and he loves and cares for us.. We also met Pope St Gregory the Great who was our Saint of the Day, and we heard about parts of his life from one of our youth helpers! The bible verse we heard today also comes from the Psalms- "O Lord, you have searched me and known me." (Psalm 139:1) Our Bible Buddy today was Seymour the Glass Frog- who has a translucent belly, letting you see all his internal organs! Our craft today had the campers making our own version of a "glass frog" with a view inside, as well as a built in game! Our outdoor game of Hoopla was a big hit with 200 balls in play and three teams trying to vie for the largest number gathered. We even had a surprise when Father David joined the game running to avoid being tagged by just about everyone there! What fun! Our snack of watermelon and blueberries was a hit on this warm day! Face painting was also a big hit with many, so we had flowers and tigers and other creatures prowling about as campers chose their designs for their faces. Tune in tomorrow as we continue to hear about David's life and his faith journey.

Rainforest Falls VBS 2026! Day 1- Off to a great start this year! Our theme today was "God is our Creator" Our first day is always full of new friends and new experiences as everyone gathers together in their groups to begin our week. Singing and dancing to our fun music was followed by a discussion of all the things that God creates. Our Bible story this morning was taken from the book of Genesis- God creates the world. And God has created us as his "very good" creation! Our whole crew went out on a bible exploration as they discussed the Genesis story. We also met Tango, the Quetzal as our Bible Buddy today, and he was even our craft as we all created unique versions of a quetzal with many colors and feathers for his long tail. Our outside relay games included a quetzal themed game as well as teams raced to rescue their crew from across the "ravine" by holding onto the quetzals tail to safety! Our Bible Verse today was taken from Psalm 103:22 "Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His Dominion." Our snack was pretzels with dipping cheese- to much mixed review-and will probably not return to the St Chris VBS menu next year as the cheese dip was not a fave! Our first day at VBS was jam packed and full of fun and we can't wait to see what wonderful bible story tomorrow brings! How amazing are the things that God creates!
