PUMPKIN-PALOOZA is ready for you!!!

We've got all the pumpkins! All the games! All the prizes! All the candy! All the crafts! All the hot dogs! And for the first year ever, our special PRAYER 'N' PRAISE PUMPKIN PATH with four activities to do as a family!!!

All that's missing is you!

Come to Entrance D from 5:00-7:00 PM tonight (Oct. 24) join us for PUMPKIN-PALOOZA!!!

Kids Camp was a fast two days! We’re wrapping things up with a snack, a storytime, and cleanup. More importantly, Madi Cawvey (our resident intern) taught the kids about how when we go from being lost to being found we should share Jesus with others around us so they can know about Jesus’ love! Then, Jessica Davis led the kids in a response time, asking the kids to think about what they want to do next in their relationship with God.

At 4:50 we will have our camp celebration and after that kids will be heading home!

As we start our second day of Kids Camp, Mikayla (our NMC KidMin pr***en director) taught these 2nd and 3rd graders about TAWG - spending time alone with God. Then they took some time reading their Bible and praying with a booklet that helped guide them with this. Next school year, 3rd graders will be moving into the pr***en room with Mikayla, where they will continue developing these disciplines.

Afternoon activities at Kids Camp!!! Kids played games, swam, and went out in rowboats! They also trued to stay cool after the drizzly, cloudy morning we had! The sun came out for a beautiful afternoon!

Our 2nd/3rd grade camp has started! Campers have met their counselors and moved in to their cabins! We’ve had our first chapel, introducing our camp theme and camp theme song!
To start, Jessica spoke about how important we are to God and we had three dramatic retelling of parables about things that were LOST AND FOUND: a sheep, a coin, and a son.

KIDS CAMP JR. afternoon! After Ben talked with the kids in Chapel 2 about how Jesus didn’t just tell stories about seeking what’s lost, he came “to seek and to save the lost,” Ben told them about Zacchaeus (a man Jesus came to seek and save).
Then it was afternoon activities, which were moved inside because of the brutal heat and rain showers. Activities included snack and story-time; a craft; games; and a bouncy slide.
Soon our day will be over! Moms and dads and grandmas and grandpas and friends who are coming to pick up your children: please remember your pick up tags!!!

KIDS CAMP JR. part 2! What’s happening this morning?
After chapel, the kids had a rotation of activities! From interactive worship to a coin toss game to a lost sheep game to a craft to a snack, each activity reinforced this year’s theme of LOST AND FOUND. Each station leader taught about a concept like the lost coin, the pearl of great price, and the lost sheep and how Jesus told those stories to show us how much he loved us and how we should love him!
Some of our station leaders are Grace, Laurel, and Gretchen - who are all interns here at NMC (SOAR or residents); Olivia and Violet - who are both long term volunteers with KidMin; and Mikayla, our pr***en director.

First up - chapel together, filled with worship time together and then Madi brought a dramatic telling of the woman at the well, along with a science experiment showing how when we follow Jesus he overflows in our life!
