Afternoon activities at KidsCamp means water activities!!! While half of our 2/3 had field games, crafts, and TAWG this afternoon, the other half got to use the blob, take out the corcles, and ride the slip and slide!

What’s a corcle? I don’t know how to spell it, but it’s a circle boat that the kids took out on the lake.

Next up: PICK UP TIME!!! Parents, when you arrive Camp Adventure staff will direct you to park, and then you will come to the lodge where we will have a brief debrief. Then you will go to the cabins with your kids to check them out!

We ended our day in the pool last night, and we were back in the pool after chapel this morning.

Kids who went off the diving boards had to pass a swimming test for the deep end. The test was hard, and some of those kids showed real grit to pass the test. They really wanted to be able to jump off the diving board!

In our final chapel, Jessica concluded her series about Jesus’ invitation to us. From the first chapel (learning that Jesus’ invitation is for ALL of us,) to the second chapel (learning that Jesus knows us personally and invites us to know him), to this final chapel, (learning that Jesus gives us new life and invites us to believe in him), Jessica has challenged the kids to RSVP to Jesus’ invitation… and invite others!

Afternoon activities sent half of our kids to the water activities and the other half had field games, crafts, and TAWG.

We’ll post some of the water activities tomorrow. Our crafts, TAWG, and field games were led by our interns (Grace & Alyssa, our SOAR interns, and our resident intern Grace - not a typo, we have two interns named Grace). Sue Troxel also helped with craft time.

For TAWG, campers were introduced to what ingredients we need when we spend Time Alone With God (TAWG):

Hey, NMC Family! Kids Camp is ON!!!

Our 2/3 kids arrived at Camp Adventure and checked in with their cabins and counselors!

First up: we all came together for our first chapel! We had worship and then Jessica started her teaching time by introducing our camp theme: YOU’RE INVITED!!! In our first chapel she talked about John 1:12, focusing on how the invitation to follow Jesus is for ALL!

NMC Pr***en Camp is wrapping up! We’ve loaded the truck, had our final field games, our final TAWG, and a short testimony time! The busses will be here soon and we’ll be back on the road and heading back to the church!

We depart Michindoh at 2:30. We’ll post here if there are any delays.

Unlike most years, because of the potential rain we will be unloading luggage at Entrance D, but our parent debrief will be in Connection as usual and as planned.

Final Pr***en Camp chapel! Mikayla challenged our pr***ens to share Jesus’s invitation with others. Some of the kids shared their testimony (something they wrote last night) with the group, and then they had time to think about friends who they could possibly invite to follow Jesus and to pray for the courage to do so.
