Did you know every LCC K-9 Comfort Dog team includes Ministry Partners?

While a K-9 Handler may need to turn their attention to the Comfort Dog during a visit, Ministry Partners are there to listen, offer encouragement, and pray with the people we meet. They help ensure every person feels seen, heard, and cared for. Their impact is powerful as they share Christ's compassion and remind people they are not alone.

This week, more than 250 LCC K-9 Ministry Partners representing 57 churches gathered online for the third Ministry Partner Training of the year. Participants joined from 21 states and all four time zones, a true coast-to-coast gathering!

Together, they spent time discussing and applying LCC's Key Characteristics to everyday service, recognizing that each day presents opportunities to serve in their own communities and that every day is a mission field.

Were you aware of this important role on our LCC K-9 Comfort Dog teams? Thank you Ministry Partners! ❤️🐾

Sometimes it's the little surprises that make my tail wag the most. 🐾💙

During my visit to Alpine Village, I was happily making my way down the hallway, greeting friends and sharing smiles, when something caught my eye. Hanging proudly on a resident's doorway was my May coloring page!

Seeing it displayed brought such joy to my heart. It reminded me that a simple coloring page can brighten someone's room, spark a smile, and serve as a happy reminder of the friendships we share during our visits.

Have you ever had one of those moments in life when there were simply too many things competing for your attention? That's exactly how I felt during this photo shoot! Every direction held something interesting to see, a new scent to investigate, or a friendly face to greet. But sometimes it is good to be still and listen.

Psalm 46:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

As I arrived at Genacross, I was greeted by a wonderful surprise. Two of the residents were sitting outside, soaking up the warm sunshine and enjoying the gentle summer breeze. Of course, I had to stop for some visits and smiles before heading inside!

When I entered the welcome center, I was greeted by a beautiful display that immediately caught my attention. It added such a cheerful touch.

Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, I was welcomed by the smiling faces of the residents and staff. There is something special about spending time at Genacross—the conversations, the laughter, the hugs, and the friendships that brighten everyone's day, including mine.

Thank you to all my friends at Genacross for making every visit such a joyful one.

What an incredible week of faith, fun, and fellowship at St. Paul Lutheran Church Vacation Bible School! Together, we explored the wonders of God's Kingdom and learned more about His love and promises for each of us.

We were blessed to welcome so many enthusiastic children and dedicated volunteers. Each day was packed with engaging Bible lessons, exciting games, creative crafts, delicious snacks, and opportunities to grow in faith and friendship.

The week concluded with a special closing service on Friday, where parents and families joined us to celebrate all that the children had learned and experienced. Afterward, everyone gathered for a time of fellowship while enjoying hot dogs and sharing memories from a wonderful week.

My team and I always look forward to our monthly visit to Vancrest of Holgate. Each visit is filled with warm smiles, friendly conversations, and precious moments shared with residents and staff.

One of my favorite jobs is helping brighten someone's day. Whether I sit quietly beside a friend, or simply being there for a hug, I love bringing smiles to the faces of those I meet.

And the best part? In return, I receive plenty of head scratches, gentle pets, and heartwarming hugs. It's a wonderful exchange of love and kindness that leaves all of us feeling a little happier. I can't wait until our next visit!

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Here we are at the Toledo Airport, waiting for the Honor Flight's return and preparing for the big welcome event they will be returning home to. So much activity, bands, family, and friends with signs and a special visit from the Nurses Honor Guard. So much excitement and love for the veterans' return.

1 John 4:7-8
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
