Take this weekend to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:
Find a handheld mirror and take turns describing the person in the reflection. Talk about how this is what we naturally see, but it is not what God sees. God looks at our hearts! Ask your kids how they can work on seeing the heart like God does.

This month, kids learned that God knows every detail by diving into 1 Samuel 16:1-13. A prophet named Samuel followed God’s directions to find the next king of Israel. Samuel thought he would know the next king just by looking. However, God told Samuel that He knows our hearts and that is what mattered most. Kids learned that God sees us, knows us, and loves us no matter what! Ask your kids to describe their day in as much detail as possible. Share that we tend only to notice certain things, but God sees our hearts, and He knows every detail about us!

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:
Tell your kids about a time when you wanted to give up but asked God to help you instead. Ask your kids, “When was a time you had to ask God for help?” Remind them that God knows everything that happens and wants to help us.

This week, kids learned that “God Knows Every Situation.” A man named Nehemiah led God’s people to rebuild the walls of their city of Jerusalem. They faced a lot of opposition, but God showed them He knew their situation and would continue to lead and guide them. Kids learned when we are worried about our circumstances and situations, we can ask God for help and know He provides us with everything we need to make it through hard times. Use interlocking blocks to make a wall, like the one from the Bible story. For each “brick,” share something amazing about God that will encourage you when you face difficult situations.

This week, the kids learned that “God Knows Every Hurt” through the story of Job. Job suffered a lot of hurt and loss. Even through the pain and struggles, Job trusted God. God reminded Job that He was all-powerful and always with him. God knows everything about us, even the hurts and struggles we experience. Kids learned that we don’t always understand why bad things happen, but we can trust that God is good. When your kids share struggles this week, teach them to S.E.A.P.—Stop Everything And Pray. Help them know that God knows their hurt and is always there for them.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them: Choose your student's favorite toy or stuffed animal. Sit in a circle and toss the item to each other. As each family member holds the item, say the name of a family member or friend and pray, “God, thank You for knowing and loving ____.” Remind your child(ren) that God knows and loves everyone.

Last week, students learned that “God Knows Everyone.” They learned about the woman in Mark 5:21-34. In the middle of a large crowd, she touched Jesus’ clothes to be healed. Despite the huge crowd, Jesus knew who touched Him and why. He knew her because He knows everyone. God knows what we need most—forgiveness through Jesus and a relationship with Him. He offers this relationship to every single person everywhere! Talk to your kids this week about friends and family who might need to know that God knows them and loves them. Take time to pray for the people in their lives to know the truth about the love of God.

This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them: Does how you live your life matter? What are different things we can do in our lives that show others we love and follow God?

This week, students learned that God makes them new from Colossians 3. When we choose to ask Jesus to forgive us and begin a friendship with God, we are made new. When we start following Jesus, we live our lives for Him, in the way He wants instead of what we want. Make a list with your kids of things that represent new life. Maybe it’s seeds that grow into plants or a new baby animal. Talk about new life and how God makes them new.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:
God had a plan for Joseph’s life, and God has a plan for your life too. Ask your kids about what they want to be when they grow up. Talk to your kids about how no matter what they end up doing when they grow up, God will guide them and has a good plan for them.

This week, students learned the Main Idea, “I Can Look Back.” In Genesis 42–50, Joseph was able to help his family have the food they needed when they came to Egypt. When Joseph saw his family again and helped them, he could look back and see how God had a plan for his life. We can look back at how God has worked in our lives and see that God has a plan for us too. Tell your preschoolers about a time where you can look back and see how God was at work.
