What does your life leave behind?

Jesus said, “Do not be anxious.”

But if we’re honest, that can feel almost impossible.

Worry shows up in the middle of the night. It follows us into work. It sits with us when we’re trying to figure out what comes next. But in Luke 12, Jesus does not dismiss our concerns — He redirects our trust.

He points us to the ravens.
He points us to the lilies.
He reminds us that our Father knows what we need.

The answer to anxiety is not pretending life is easy. It is learning to trust the One who holds us when life feels uncertain.

Peter went back to fishing.

After the resurrection, after seeing Jesus alive, after everything that had happened, Peter drifted back to what was familiar. But Jesus did not leave him there.

In Don’t Go Fishing – Part 2, we see the beautiful grace of Christ. Jesus meets Peter on the shore, not with a lecture, but with breakfast. Then He asks the question that cuts to the heart:

“Do you love me?”

And with each answer, Jesus does not simply forgive Peter — He restores him and recommissions him.

Failure is not final when Jesus is involved. Your setback is not your sentence. Jesus still calls His people forward.
