📣 TONIGHT! Don't forget to register and join us live or watch the recording later!

🗓️ Join us Wednesday, June 17th, 6:00-7:00 pm ET, for an online ecumenical worship service in observance of World Refugee Day.

🧡 With the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program frozen since January 2025 and resettled refugees facing an onslaught of diminishing protections and expanding threats, it is more important than ever to gather in lament, solidarity, and celebration of the right to seek refuge.

🧡 With contributions from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Church of the Brethren, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Pacifica Synod ELCA, and the United Church of Christ, we will worship through prayer, art, music, and reflections from pastors with their own stories of migration.

🙏🏾 Gracious God,

You've asked us to treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves. You've asked us to love our neighbor. You've asked us to forgive as You have forgiven us.

But God, this is so difficult!

We are witnessing injustice and cruelty and bigotry every where we look, every where we go. We want to look away, we want to protect our hearts from breaking.

God, help us to not look away, but instead to focus on You and pass all our worries and fears through Your heavenly lens. Let us be Your vision, Your eyes as well as Your hands, feet and voice. Give us clarity. Give us courage. Amen

🙏🏾 Divine Source,

You are the God of rivers, oceans, and lakes. Of tall, outstretched branches and roots buried deep. The God of feathers, fins, and fur. The One who shines in the morning sun, twinkles in the stars, and still reflects through the darkness of the moon. The God of seeds, buds, and bursting flowers. Creator of All.

We ask for your forgiveness for the ways we've hurt your creation: Our Earth, our home, our sibling. We call upon your healing power for restoration and reconciliation, for your healing love to break forth and bloom so that we may begin to live in community again.
