Messiah Lutheran Church

Messiah Lutheran Church A family where the Triune God is glorified by all, to all with our all. What We Believe

What we believe and teach is rooted in God's perfect Word - The Bible.

Because we know it never changes, we know we can base our faith upon it. God
We believe there is only one true God who is holy, eternal, and has all power and wisdom. In the Bible, God reveals himself as Triune - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's Word. It's true and without error. Creation
We believe that in six days God created the heavens and the earth and all

that is in them. Man + Woman
We believe that men and women are a special creation of God, created in God's own image. Sin
We believe that we lost the image of God when Adam + Eve gave into the temptation of Satan in the Garden of Eden. This separated us from God, unable to reconcile ourselves to him. The Gospel
We believe that the gospel is the good news that a loving God sent Jesus Christ to take away the sins of all people, fully and freely given. Jesus
We believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, and that he suffered and died on the cross to pay for all of our sins. Salvation
We believe Jesus rose on Easter morning, conquering death. And because he rose, so will we. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit creates faith in our hearts through the gospel. The Church
We believe that there is one holy, Christian church, made up of all who believe in Jesus. Baptism + Holy Communion
We believe that we become God's children through baptism. We believe God's love and forgiveness is ours in the Lord's supper. Peace
We believe Jesus is ruling all things for the good of his people. And that we have peace because of what Jesus, our King of kings, did for us. You can learn more about our beliefs and affiliation by visiting www.wels.net

Church isn’t just something we attend. It’s something we build together.

On August 30, our church family is taking worship outside for Church in the Park, and we’d love for you to join us.

We’ll gather for worship, share a potluck lunch, enjoy yard games, and spend time getting to know one another. Whether you’ve been part of our church for years or you’re simply looking for a place to connect, there’s a seat waiting for you.

Please note: Our 8:30 a.m. service will still be held at the church, but there will be no Sunday School that morning. Church in the Park begins at 10:30 a.m. at Midway Park.

Bring a lawn chair, bring a side dish if you’d like, and bring a friend. We can’t wait to spend the morning with you!

Are you happy right now? It’s often changing. You have many reasons to be happy and thankful. There may also be many things that make you unhappy. Happiness based on what’s happening in the moment is fleeting. Joy that comes from above lasts eternally. This week we turn to the short book of Zephaniah and we find many reasons to rejoice!
