September 11 is a hard day. We remember the people who died, the families who lost loved ones, and the fear and grief that swept across our country. But I also remember how, for a time, we seemed to find our way back to one another. Neighbors helping neighbors, folks caring for strangers, and people who were different remembering what we had in common.
My prayer today is that we might find some of that spirit again, and remember that the way forward is found not in more anger, but in love, mercy, and reconciliation. - Fr. Nathan+
