Hear from Pastor James Byensi.🎥

As Ebola spreads through Bunia, DR Congo, our friend and mission partner is still showing up every day — carrying clean water and hygiene education to the markets, schools, and camps where families need it most. A longtime friend of Pastor Kim and an ally to our church, Pastor James chose to stay and serve.

Watch his message above, then swipe through to see the work in motion.

💧 Support the response: Thin Space Africa Emergency Fund — link in bio. 🙏 Pray for Bunia, for Pastor James, and for the Rebuilders team.

We stand with them, in prayer and in action.

“Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.”

Jesus’ commandment is simple, yet life-shaping. Through the sacraments, we are reminded not only of God’s love for us, but of our calling to embody that love in the world.

Standing With → Our Partners in Congo 🕯️

Our friend Pastor James could have left Bunia. Instead, as an Ebola outbreak spreads through the markets, schools, and camps where his ministry serves, he and the Rebuilders team have chosen to stay — and to help. FPCMV is in ardent prayer for the crisis, and for Pastor James and his community. (Crisis figures reported by our partners on the ground.)

Here's how we can stand with him:

💧 Give — Every gift goes directly to clean water, hygiene supplies, and the local volunteers carrying this work forward. Tax-deductible through Thin Space Africa, a registered 501(c)(3).
→ thinspaceafrica.org · "Donate" · select "Emergency Fund" (link in bio)

📣 Share — Forwarding this post widens the circle of support around Pastor James and his team.

🙏 Pray — And above all, pray with us: for the families grieving, for the health workers, and for Pastor James, Riziki, and the whole Rebuilders team as they stay and serve. May they know they do not walk this valley alone.

Wherever two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name, God is present.

On Trinity Sunday, we’re reminded that God is relationship—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that through Christ, we are drawn into that love and belonging.

Let the Lord show you love.

Love isn’t just something God does — it’s something God is, in community.

This Sunday we celebrate Trinity Sunday: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — one God, united in mutual love and celebration. Join us at 10AM as we explore what that means for how we love one another. 🙌

“The Spirit indwells us with the compassion that Christ has for us.”

That’s Pentecost. Not a distant force or a one-time event. The Spirit of the Living God — alive in you, today.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26)

Today is Pentecost: the Spirit’s gift to the Church, calling us together and sending us out in love.

May we carry that Spirit into FPCMV, Mountain View, and beyond.

05/21/2026

Join us this Sunday at 10AM as we celebrate Pentecost and receive again the gift of the Holy Spirit — God’s living presence within us. 🙌
