Thursday night was our fourth night meeting to explore the 6261 program among our 8 congregations of Lutheran & Episcopal churches. Trinity Lutheran in Hazleton hosted our meeting “Trends Tracing History & Shared Stories”. It was an absolutely interesting night with histories over several centuries, fascinating struggles over the years establishing actual church buildings, existing thru wars, floods, pandemics. Thanks to all who created timelines, shared memorabilia. Special thanks to our St Paul’s members Alice M Doxsey Doxsey Davis who did a wonderful job with our amazing history! 🙏🏽 ⛪️

Hello All!!!

ONLY 57 DAYS TO GO!

We are officially just 57 days away from the kickoff of the 2026 Mountain Top Feed a Friend Program!

Last year, because of the incredible outpouring of support from our community, we were able to provide food to over 110 families right here in Mountain Top. What an amazing reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together!

This year, the need is expected to be even greater as the cost of living and the price of groceries continue to rise. Once again, we are turning to our amazing Mountain Top community for help.

We are looking for:

• Business Sponsors
• Monetary Donations
• Food Drop-Off Locations
• Volunteers

Every donation, volunteer hour, and business that steps up makes a difference. Together, we can make sure our neighbors and families have food on their tables this holiday season.

If you are willing to help support this amazing community event, please reach out to Keri Hinkle at 570-550-4124.

Let’s come together once again and Feed a Friend!

Mountain Top takes care of its own.

New Giving Option! St Paul’s has set up a platform for on-line giving which allows you to support the church (general giving), Youth programs, Food Bank or World Hunger by using this QR Code. This secure way of giving can be set up using your phone, tablet, computer for single contributions or you can set up recurring donations (so giving remains constant when missing a service) AND for many it’s more convenient than using a check or cash. Questions or help contact Jeff Brock or send a message here. Church Council hopes this updates our giving process as folks have requested!

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! READ THIS! AND BE VIGILANT!
Earlier today I learned that one of our members fell victim to a text scam. We're all familiar with email scams, but now they are targeting cell phones. As I have previously indicated, I will never send an email (or now a text message) requesting gift cards. or money.
In this case, the perpetrator sent a text message, indicating I was in a meeting and utilizing someone else's phone. The message indicated I had left my phone at the office and I was tied up in this meeting. For that reason, could you pick up these cards for someone who needed them right away and I would reimburse you when I got back. This individual asked a few questions to determine it was me. While the responses were somewhat vague, they were close enough to the truth for this individual to believe it was really me. The last question asked was very specific and when the response was spot on, that clinched it for this individual. Needless to say, it wasn't me!
It angers me that someone would use my title to play on your caring and generous hearts, but Jesus says, we must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. No situation is that crucial that would need your immediate response. This could transpire between friends, family members and business associates.
Should you receive a similar request, take time to reach out to that individual by another means of communication to ensure this does not happen to you. Should you have any questions, please contact me immediately!
