Have you ever found yourself waiting on God and wondering, "Lord, why is this taking so long?"

Most of us know what it's like to wait. We pray, we trust, we seek God's direction, and sometimes it feels like the answer just isn't coming. During those seasons, it's easy to become discouraged and even begin listening to the lies that tell us God has forgotten us.

This Sunday at MVCC, we'll be looking at 2 Samuel 2 and the life of David. God had promised David the throne years earlier, yet he spent nearly two decades waiting for God's promise to be fulfilled. Through every delay, disappointment, and obstacle, David learned a powerful truth: God's timing is always right.

If you're waiting for God to answer a prayer, open a door, provide direction, bring healing, restore a relationship, or fulfill a promise, this message is for you.

We'll discover why waiting is such an important part of our faith journey, how God works even when we can't see it, and why we can trust Him even when His timing doesn't make sense to us.

The same God who sent Jesus "in the fullness of time" is still working according to His perfect timing today.

Join us this Sunday at MVCC as we worship together, open God's Word, and be reminded that God hasn't forgotten you. His timing is perfect, His promises are true, and His hand is still at work in your life.

Come worship with us tomorrow.
Come as you are and bring a friend. We'd love to worship with you!
Coffee, breakfast snacks, and fellowship at 9:30. Worship starts at 10.

You know you belong here.
We know Jesus, and we make Him known.
We'll see you tomorrow.
God bless.

Life changes fast, doesn’t it? One day you’re young and strong, the next day you throw your back out getting out of bed. Kids grow up. Grandkids come along. Jobs change. Health changes. Even the victories in life can feel temporary.

That’s why Psalm 18 is so important for us.

This Sunday at MVCC, we’re talking about what it means for God to be our Rock in a world where everything else keeps moving around. David had been through battles, loss, fear, and danger, yet he still declared:

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer…”

Not “a” rock. My rock.

There’s a difference between knowing about God and truly leaning on Him when life gets heavy.

We’ll talk about the victory we have in Jesus that death itself cannot take away. We’ll talk about faith, spiritual battles, and why Jesus is still our refuge when life feels overwhelming.

If you’re tired, discouraged, struggling, grieving, or just need to be reminded that God has not changed, come worship with us tomorrow at MVCC.

And maybe before the day is over, tell the Lord something we don’t say enough:

“I love you, Lord.”

Coffee, breakfast snacks, and fellowship at 9:30. Worship starts at 10.

We know Jesus, and we make Him known.
We'll see you soon.
You know you belong here.

Tomorrow at MVCC, we’re going to talk about grief, pain, endurance, and the hope that only Jesus can give.

Life has a way of taking us from the sky to the mud in a moment. One phone call. One diagnosis. One funeral. One heartbreak. One loss.

In 2 Samuel 1, David receives devastating news about Saul and Jonathan. He tears his clothes, weeps, mourns, and grieves deeply. Scripture doesn’t ignore grief, and neither should the church.

Some of you know what it feels like to walk through the mud. You’re exhausted emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Maybe you’ve lost someone you love. Maybe you’re carrying pain nobody sees. Maybe you’re struggling just to put one foot in front of the other.

But the good news is this: grief does not have to destroy you. Jesus meets us in the mud. God gives strength to endure. He gives peace that doesn’t make sense. He lifts us up when we don’t have the strength to stand on our own.

This Sunday, we’ll talk honestly about mourning, suffering, loss, and the hope we have in Christ, even in the middle of deep pain.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Join us tomorrow at MVCC. If you’re hurting, weary, grieving, or just needing hope, we’d love to worship with you.

Coffee, snacks, and fellowship at 9:30. Worship starts at 10.

We know Jesus, and we make Him known.
You know you belong here.
We'll see you soon.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother’s Day is more than flowers and family photos. It’s a reminder that God calls ordinary people to extraordinary ministry.

This Sunday at MVCC, we’re talking about what it means to listen to the voice of God and step into the calling He has placed on your life. Too many people — especially women — have believed the lie that they should stay silent, sit back, or leave ministry to someone else. But the Kingdom of God advances when people are willing to serve, speak truth, pray boldly, and lead where God has called them.

Whether you are a mother, grandmother, daughter, husband, son, single, young, or old — God can use you. The same Holy Spirit works through all who belong to Christ.

Join us this Mother’s Day as we worship Jesus together, celebrate the women who have shaped our faith, and challenge one another to stop making excuses and start walking in obedience to God’s call.

Come expecting truth, encouragement, worship, and a reminder that your life matters in the mission of Jesus.
