Have you ever said or done something and immediately wished you could turn back the clock? I know I have. We can’t change yesterday, but we can respond to the Lord today. And I am thankful that His grace gives us a reason to hope!

Join us Sunday at MVCC as we open 2 Samuel 24 and Psalm 30 and talk about “Grace at the Threshing Floor.” David’s story is difficult, but it reminds us that failure does not have to be where our story ends. Through Jesus, God offers forgiveness and a reason to sing again.

If you’ve had a hard week, have something weighing on your heart, or just need to be reminded of God’s goodness, come worship with us. We all need His grace, and there’s room for you.

We need sponsors to decorate a table and hand out candy at the Tabletop Treats on October 31, and we need candy donations. You can drop the candy in the tote in the church office.

Hey Church!
We need table sponsors to decorate a table and hand out candy! There is a sign-up list at the welcome center. The church will help to provide candy, but we are also asking you to donate candy if you can. There will be a tote in the church office.

I love this church and how we love our town! I want to encourage you to consider a verse, a scripture theme, or a gospel message to include in your decorations. While the town shows up for candy, we can also show and share Jesus!

Please sign up to decorate a table or help with candy. If you have any questions, please ask Jennifer Cook or Tara Prater.

Adults - Coffee and fellowship at 6:15 in the lobby; class starts at 6:30 in the auditorium. Men's and women's small groups will follow the video teaching.

Hello Church.

Have you ever had one of those times when you won, but it didn’t really feel like a victory?

That’s where we find David in 2 Samuel 19. The battle is over, David’s army has won, but David is grieving the loss of his son. He’s hurting so badly that he’s basically stuck in the mud.

And honestly, I think we’ve all been there.

Maybe it’s grief. Maybe it’s guilt. Maybe it’s something from your past that you just can’t seem to get past. Sometimes it’s easier to sit in the mud than it is to get up and start walking again.

But that’s what I love about this story. David is reminded that he can’t stay there. He has a choice to make. He can keep wallowing, or he can get up and walk in the direction God is calling him.

And isn’t that what Jesus does for us? He doesn’t ask us to pretend we haven’t failed. He calls us to repent, receive His grace, and keep walking with Him.

Repentance doesn’t mean what happened never happened. It means it doesn’t get the final word.

That’s what we’ll be talking about this Sunday at MVCC.

If you’ve been stuck in the mud a little lately, come join us. Let’s worship together, open God’s Word, and be reminded that because of Jesus, we can get up and keep walking.

Good afternoon Church!

Tonight the Adult Bible Study begins! Apologetics is the study of how to offer a defense for why you believe what you do. 1 Peter 3:15 is the definition of a core 4 disciple. You first encountered Jesus as core 1, then you experienced Him through His Word, prayer, worship, and service as core 2, then you engaged in His Kingdom work through active ministry, as core 3, and now you are ready to expand His kingdom as a core 4 disciple.

Apologetics is a tool for disciples who want to be 1 Peter 3:15 disciples. Is my Christian faith real? How do I know? Why do I believe what I believe? How do I explain it? In this class, we'll answer these questions and many more.
