Some good doggies of SFS…

When you divide up the Hebrew word for dog, כלב/kelev, you get כ לב/k’lev, which means “like heart…”

Coincidence? We think not for such loving and sweet creatures. “Like heart” ❤️

We are so thrilled to welcome our Student Rabbi for the High Holy Days, Ira Kennard-Sheldon (they/them)!

Ira will facilitate our virtual community’s experience during hybrid services, and will offer rabbinic support on and off the bimah throughout the Holy Days.

Originally from Columbus, OH and joining us by way of Washington Heights, Ira is a 2nd year rabbinic student at HUC-JIR.

Fresh off their Year-in-Israel, one of Ira’s highlights from this past year was spending a week in Sderot, where they got to learn about the community there before and after October 7th.

Please join us in giving a warm Sinai Free welcome to Student Rabbi Ira!
