A look at Gateway in September!

Lord, thank You for a new month and all You have in store. As this new month starts, give us hearts that are eager to know Your Word and willing to encourage and pray for one another. Help us grow deeper in our faith and live out what You are teaching us.

As our Gateway Huddles begin, we pray that You would use these groups to draw us closer to You and to one another. We pray for meaningful conversations, genuine community, and hearts that are growing closer to Jesus.

Let this month be a testament to Your faithfulness and a reflection of Your love in the way we live and serve others.

Thank you for joining us today!

Pastor Dustin reminded us that saving faith is received by all who believe and repent. When we cry out to Jesus for help, our faith doesn’t have to be rehearsed or perfectly expressed — it simply needs to be genuine and sincere. Saving faith confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior and continues to remain faithful, even when it is tested.

We are encouraged to remember that the strength of our faith isn’t found in how much faith we have, but in who our faith is in — Jesus.

Matthew 15:10–20 reminds us that our greatest problem isn’t dirty hands, it’s dirty hearts.

It’s easy to focus on what people can see on the outside, but Jesus cares about what’s happening on the inside. We can try to clean ourselves up, get everything right, and make ourselves look the part, but only Jesus can truly change our hearts.

Religion says, “Clean yourself up.”
Jesus says, “Come to Me, and I will cleanse you and give you a new heart.”

Our prayer is that we would stop trying to fix ourselves and simply come to Jesus. He’s the One who makes us new, from the inside out.

Happy Sunday, church!

God hasn’t called us to dead religion. He’s called us to life in Christ.

The cure for dead religion isn’t more dead religion — the cure is the gospel. Tradition cannot save us. Only Jesus can.

May we never settle for simply going through the motions. Let’s live fully in the freedom, hope, and new life we have because of Jesus!
