Those aren't just numbers.
Those are lives.
This summer at Camp Cragmont, God moved in BIG ways.

And behind every number is a story.
A student who said YES to Jesus.
A teenager who surrendered again.
A volunteer who poured into a young person's life.
A calling that was discovered.
A life that was changed.

This is why Cragmont matters.

We are so grateful for every person who prayed, served, gave, taught, cooked, cleaned, drove, counseled and helped make this summer possible.

Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith. — Colossians 2:7
And we believe God is just getting started. 🐻❤️

DAY 9: OUR COVENANT — A PROMISE TO WALK TOGETHER IN FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE

For the past nine days, we've explored how Original Free Will Baptists work together. As we close this series, we come to something deeply personal:

Covenant.

A covenant is more than knowing what we believe. It is a promise, pledge, and commitment to live those beliefs—honoring God and walking faithfully in obedience.

As Original Free Will Baptists, our covenant calls us to:

Love and obey God.
Study His Word and apply it to our lives.
Maintain a faithful life of prayer and devotion.
Worship faithfully and observe Christ's ordinances.
Support the work of the church and its ministries.
Accept loving correction and protect one another's reputation.
Help the weak, care for the hurting, and promote the Gospel.
Cooperate with our churches, Conferences/Associations, Convention, and denominational ministries.
Live lives of Christian service, faith, and good works.

Our covenant reminds us that faith is not merely something we profess—it is something we live.

And we don't live it alone.

We walk together as brothers and sisters in Christ—encouraging one another, serving one another, supporting the work God has entrusted to us, and carrying the Gospel into the world.

Throughout this series, we've seen the beautiful picture:

Local churches serving.
Ministers answering God's call.
Conferences/Associations strengthening our connection.
The Convention bringing our larger family together.
A shared heritage grounding us.
Biblical doctrine guiding us.
And covenant calling us to LIVE what we believe.

COVENANTED.
COMMITTED.
CONNECTED.
FOR CHRIST!

ONE FAITH. ONE MISSION. ONE OFWB FAMILY.

May we continue to know Christ, build His Church, make Him known to all people, and seek His will—TOGETHER.

DAY 8: OUR DOCTRINE — BUILT ON GOD’S WORD

What we believe matters—because what we believe shapes how we live, worship, serve, and work together.

Original Free Will Baptists are a people committed to the authority of God’s Word. Our shared doctrine gives our churches a common foundation of faith while helping us remain united in our message and mission.

Our Articles of Faith address essential biblical truths about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, creation, humanity, free will, Scripture, salvation, Christian responsibility, the Church, worship, the ordinances, the Second Coming, and eternity.

One belief that has historically distinguished Original Free Will Baptists is our understanding of the possibility of apostasy—that a believer can make “shipwreck of faith” and become lost.

But doctrine is not simply a list of statements we agree with.

It shapes our worship.
It shapes our relationships.
It shapes our churches.
It shapes our mission.
And it shapes the way we live.

Jesus prayed:

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” — John 17:17 (KJV)

Our goal isn't merely to know what we believe. It is to faithfully live what we believe and pass that faith to the generations that follow.

We stand on the unchanging truth of God's Word—living it out together for His glory.

Rooted in our heritage.
United in our faith.
Moving forward in the power of the Gospel.

DAY 7: OUR HERITAGE — ROOTED IN FAITH, GROWING IN GRACE

To understand who we are today, it helps to remember where we've come from.

The story of Original Free Will Baptists is a story of faith passed from one generation to the next. Our heritage reaches back to the English General Baptists, and that heritage eventually took root in North Carolina, where churches, Conferences, and ultimately the Convention developed as our people sought to worship, serve, and work together.

Our history reminds us that the structures we have today did not appear overnight. Our Principles of Church Government explain that our system developed through “hardship, need, desire, and experience.”

Through the generations, faithful believers organized churches, established Conferences, strengthened cooperation, and built a denominational family committed to carrying the Gospel forward.

And in 1913, the Convention brought that growing family together in a new way—uniting Conferences and churches for greater fellowship, cooperation, and Kingdom ministry.

But our heritage is more than dates and names.

We are Bible-based — grounded in the truth of God's Word.
We are Christ-centered — proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We are people-focused — loving God and loving others.
We are mission-minded — sharing the Gospel and making Christ known.
We are future-focused — remembering where we've been while faithfully following where God leads next.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations...” — Deuteronomy 32:7 (KJV)

Our history isn't something we simply look back upon.

It's a heritage we have been entrusted to carry forward.

God has been faithful in the past.
We trust Him for the future.

DAY 6: THE CONVENTION — UNITING OUR FAMILY FOR GREATER KINGDOM IMPACT

What happens when our churches, Conferences/Associations, ministers, and ministries come together with a shared purpose?

That's where the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists comes in.

Our Principles of Church Government describe the Convention as a coordinating body that encourages cooperation throughout the larger OFWB family. Its purpose is not to replace the work of the local church or Conference, but to help bring us together to accomplish what would be difficult for any one part of our denomination to accomplish alone.

Through the Convention, we come together for:

FELLOWSHIP — strengthening relationships and unity across our OFWB family.

GOVERNANCE — discussing business, making decisions, and providing direction through representation.

EQUIPPING — learning from one another and strengthening our churches and ministries.

COOPERATION — coordinating our efforts and supporting the ministries we share.

MISSION — combining our resources, gifts, and people to advance the Gospel and make Christ known.

PRAYER — seeking God's direction and covering our churches, Conferences/Associations, ministers, ministries, and mission in prayer.

And remember: our structure is not simply a top-down chain of command. Our form of church government is described as “representative by delegation.”

That means we are connected. We are represented. We are accountable. We cooperate.

And most importantly...

WE SERVE CHRIST TOGETHER!

One church can make a difference in its community.
Working together, our OFWB family can extend that impact far beyond it.

Together, we advance the Kingdom!

DAY 5: OUR CONFERENCES/ASSOCIATIONS — STRENGTH IN PARTNERSHIP

No local church is called to carry out the work of Christ alone.

Within the Original Free Will Baptist family, our Conferences/Associations bring churches and ministers together for fellowship, accountability, cooperation, and the shared work of the Kingdom.

Our Principles of Church Government explain an important relationship: the local church and the Conference are distinct organizations, each with its own responsibilities—but as Original Free Will Baptists, they are also connected. Neither exists in isolation from the other.

Through our Conferences/Associations, we work together to:

Encourage fellowship and unity among our churches and ministers.
Provide accountability for churches and ordained ministers.
Equip and support ministers for faithful service.
Cooperate in ministry and mission beyond what one congregation can accomplish alone.
Participate through representation, giving churches a voice in the work and decisions we share.

Our churches also have a responsibility to participate in the Conference/Association to which they belong—including representation by delegation, annual reporting, and financial support of its work and programs.

This isn't about one level of the denomination being more important than another.

It's about partnership.

Every local church has its ministry. Every Conference/Association has its responsibilities. And when we faithfully fulfill our individual roles while working together, we can accomplish far more for Christ's Kingdom.

Strong churches. Stronger together. Advancing the Kingdom.

DAY 4: CALLED TO MINISTRY — LICENSING & ORDINATION

Ministry begins with a call from God—but within the Original Free Will Baptist family, that call is also recognized, nurtured, examined, and affirmed through the Church.

Our Principles of Church Government provide a thoughtful process for those preparing for Gospel ministry:

GOD CALLS — The individual experiences God's call to ministry.
THE LOCAL CHURCH AFFIRMS — The candidate shares that call with the local church, which recommends and endorses the candidate for consideration.
LICENSING — The Conference Ordaining Council examines the candidate, and upon successful completion, the candidate is recommended back to the church for licensing.
PREPARATION — Licensed ministers continue preparing for Gospel ministry.
THE ORDAINING COUNCIL EXAMINES — Candidates for ordination are examined in areas including theology, homiletics, church history, the Bible, church government, and OFWB polity, doctrine, and history.
ORDINATION — After successfully completing the requirements, the candidate is formally “set apart” for service to God and His people through ordination.

There is something beautiful about this process: the minister doesn't walk the journey alone.

The local church, the Conference, the Ordaining Council, and the candidate each have a role. Together, they seek to recognize God's call and prepare faithful servants for the work of the Gospel.

God calls. The Church confirms. The Conference equips. The minister serves.
