Tim Snyder with four other ministers founded Spoken Word Ministries, Inc. with the mission and desire to provide Christian literature and personal ministry to blind people. has produced and distributed thousands of audio recordings, in Spanish and English, thousands of pages of braille in English, Russian and Bulgarian, and has distributed these materials across the United States and in several ot

her countries. Partnering with the Fishers of men organization, this mission has also participated in several trips to Honduras, providing valuable personal ministry and literature to blind people in that country. Two of the newest ministries having an impact are BrailleAudio, an internet-housed Christian resource library for those across these United States who are blind and visually impaired. The Interactive Christian Community, ICC, is an audio site where both blind and sighted people can gather for friendly fellowship, Bible studies, times of prayer and for other special programs. Come join us each Thursday afternoon at 4 PM EST in June for helpful information and engaging activities that will help you get more from your Bible.

Two fundamentals of Bible study are reading and writing. During June we
want to help you learn ways to read the Bible and then write down what you learn so you can remember.

In the next four weeks we will first learn
ways to read/listen to the text of the Bible. Then we will discover how
to observe the text and answer the important question, "What does the text say?"

Following that we will learn how to interpret the text and answer the
question, "What does the Bible mean?"

Finally, we will learn how to apply the text
to our lives and answer the question, "What does the Bible mean to me?"

Along the way you will learn what questions to ask about the Bible so that God can explain it to us. We look forward to you joining us each Thursday afternoon in June!

Volunteer Book Narrators Needed

I was just making a work assignment to one of our Christian workers who is serving the Lord by processing books that have been narrated so that blind and visually impaired people who cannot read regular print can read them. I began to think about how people from churches all around the world could have God's people narrating books for BrailleAudio. Can you imagine having a committee of people, perhaps I should call it a team of God's people, narrating and helping to produce books. Then I could hear someone saying: "But why not just use a syynthesized voice, or even better an AI voice to do this narration?" Of course this might even produce a book faster, but think if we had AI to do the work that human beings are supposed to do as we serve God. Somehow, I don't think the Lord wants AI to do what we are supposed to do. May we use AI to assist us? Yes, perhaps, but I don't think it is God's will to have AI robots or AI software to replace what the Lord wants each of us to do. Yes, it is work. Yes, it takes effort and may take learning, but it is certainly worth serving the Lord to help make a book available for blind people to read.

We hope everyone had a great church service and was able to get good
