Peter had already failed.

He had already denied Jesus.
He had already carried the weight of regret.
He had already faced the questions and received grace.

But when he recognized Jesus on the shore, he didn’t stay in the boat.

He jumped in.

Not because he had it all together.
Not because he had earned another chance.
But because he knew where hope was found.

Some of us have spent enough time drifting through “life as usual.”

Jesus is still calling.

Maybe today is the day to get out of the boat again and swim toward His presence instead of away from it.

No matter how far you’ve wandered, His invitation remains the same:

“Come to Me.”

Eden’s flaming sword. The burning bush. Mount Sinai. The tabernacle. The temple — God kept marking His dwelling place with fire.

Pentecost changed everything.

The fire no longer rested on a place.

The fire rested on His people.

Through Jesus, access to God’s presence was restored — and by the Holy Spirit, we became carriers of His presence.

The baptism with the Holy Spirit is not about a denomination.

It is the ministry of Jesus.

He still fills. He still empowers. He still gives boldness. He still calls His church to be witnesses.

This week, don’t just ask, “Do I believe in the Holy Spirit?”

Ask, “Where am I resisting Him?”

Holy Spirit, we will receive You. We will not resist You.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t just fill you quietly.

He gives you boldness.
He changes what comes out of your mouth.
He turns silence into praise, fear into witness, and hesitation into faith.

The goal isn’t to “get crazy.”
The goal is to come alive.
