God doesn’t need us, but we desperately need Him.

Left to our own devices, our human story is messy and imperfect—but through Jesus, we find the ultimate rescue, promise, and purpose.

If you missed Sunday’s message or just want to carry these truths into your week, here is a quick heart-check from our study:

🙌 1. We Need Him. He Doesn’t Need Us.

Collectively: God doesn't require our help to be God, yet we constantly struggle to trust Him fully and rely completely on His grace.

Personally: We can't hide in the crowd. True restoration starts when we take that first step back to Him, asking Him to show us our brokenness / sin and forgive us.

👣 2. A Lineage of Imperfect Faith

Looking at Abraham (Romans 4:13-25), we see that God uses imperfect people. Abraham serves as an imperfect example of what it looks like to keep believing and following God step by step. We don't have to be perfect to walk with Him!

✝️ 3. The Means of Rescue & The Promise
Where we stumble, Jesus lived as the perfect example of obedience and following. Through His cross, the ultimate barrier between us and God was torn down to offer us true life.

The Promise: God's grace doesn't give us the freedom to just do whatever we want; it invites us into the freedom to fulfill our true purpose: to serve Him completely without fear (Luke 1:68-74 & Ephesians 2:8-10).

🌟 Why We Need Jesus Everyday:

We are never past our need for the Savior. We need Jesus...

1. ...to save us for eternity.
2. ...to forgive us when we collectively stumble.
3. ...to lead us so we can glorify Him without fear.

No matter how messy your history or your week has been, His perfect sacrifice is enough to bring you back, rescue you from failure, and free you to serve Him.

What an incredible word we shared as a church family this today! We walked through the deep truths of how God creates, shapes, and sends us out into the world.
If you missed it, or just want to carry these truths into your week, here is a quick recap of our journey together:

"The God who made all things started with absolutely nothing." (Genesis 1:1-4)

🌱 1. Creation: Starting from Nothing

No matter how broken or far gone you feel, your heart is never too far out of reach for Him. He is still in the business of making all things new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

🪵 2. Formation: Shaped in Community

We are called to true, authentic community. That means:

-Rejoicing without faking our happiness or pretending everything is fine. It’s a quiet, learned practice of living together in Christ.

-Aiming for Restoration by being reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20) and stepping in to restore those who fall (Galatians 6:1).

-Letting go of unresolved conflict or bitterness, because a heavy heart struggles to hold onto Him in prayer.

-Living in Peace by being active peemakers—not just passive peace keepers (Matthew 5:9).

⛪ 3. Participation & Mission

We can't do this on our own strength! God prepares us for His mission through the shared life of a local church. Together, we are called to:

1) Make Disciples: Share the grace of the gospel with everyone we meet.

2) Welcome the Family: Celebrate baptism as the beautiful doorway into our shared life and ministry.

3) Teach Faithful Living: Keep growing together in grace, matching our steps to Christ.

LOVE is a VERB! ✨

Is your faith a feeling or a following? This week, we dove into John 14 and learned that loving Jesus is about more than just an emotional high—it’s about moving from "feeling" to action.

When we recognize Jesus not just as a historical figure, but as the Lord of our lives, our "knowing about Him" turns into a "decision to follow Him."

Remember: Your presence in the Kingdom isn't a coincidence. It’s an invitation. God’s heart was set on you before the world even began! 🌏❤️

Action Step: How can you make your love for Jesus "visible" this week? Share one way you're practicing obedience in the comments! 👇

Thank you for your endless love, strength, and faith! You are a blessing! 💗

The Unexpected 🕊️

"Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground..." — Isaiah 53:1-2

Sometimes, God’s greatest moves don't look like what we anticipated. Isaiah 53 reminds us that the Savior came in a way no one expected—not as a conquering king, but as a "root out of dry ground."

In our own lives, the journey toward Him often takes an unexpected path:

• The Unexpected Weight: We often don't realize how heavy the burden of being "lost" is until we start looking for the way home. That sudden "uncomfortable" feeling? That’s often the Holy Spirit nudging you toward grace.

• The Unexpected Life: When we surrender to God, we expect rules; instead, we find life. The blessings aren't just material—they are a supernatural peace and a restored connection to our Creator.

• The Beautiful Uncertainty: Being saved doesn't mean we have all the answers. In fact, life becomes a series of "holy surprises." We walk in uncertainty, not because God is hidden, but because His blessings are so frequent and unexpected that every day is a new discovery of His goodness.

Reflect with us:

Have you ever experienced a "dry ground" season where God unexpectedly brought forth new life?
