Before guests arrive, rooms fill up, and the summer schedule kicks off - the Tuscarora staff took a day to spend time together as a team.

Summer is one of the best times of year at Tuscarora - but it's also one of the most demanding. Over the next few months this team will serve thousands of guests, campers, families, and churches.

They prepare and serve meals, clean rooms, lead activities, fix things that break, and create an environment where ministry can happen.

We invite you take a moment to pray for the Tuscarora staff. Pray for endurance, patience, wisdom, unity, and joy as they serve. If you will be joining us on the grounds, take a moment to thank them. For many, their work happens behind the scenes, but it all makes a lasting impact.

One of the ministries connected to Tuscarora is Rooted - a gap year program designed to help young adults grow deeper in their faith, discover purpose, and build lives rooted in Christ.

As Rooted recently reflected on this past year, one thing became incredibly clear: God can do a lot through willing hearts.

This year’s class may have only been six students, but their impact on one another, on their churches, and on the people around them was powerful. And now, as Rooted looks ahead to what will be its largest class yet, there is a deep sense of gratitude for what God continues to do through the program.

Rooted recently shared a reflection from Director Roger Viksnes, including updates on next year’s class, ways to pray, and details about the upcoming Rooted Week of Impact campaign.

This past weekend we celebrated the graduation of another Rooted class - and what a gift this year has been.

We’ve watched these students grow in faith, serve others, ask hard questions, build deep friendships, and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. None of it has been perfect or easy, but through every challenge and every moment of joy, God has been faithful.

We’re so proud of this class and grateful for the way they’ve allowed God to shape and strengthen them this year. The year may be ending, but we know the story God is writing in their lives is only beginning.
