Join us in helping the Mount Airy NET. Fill the Net is back this weekend, June 6th through 7th!

Last year churches from Mt. Airy worked together with Weis Markets to stock the shelves at Mt. Airy Net. This year we will "Fill the Net" for Mt. Airy Net AND Morgan Chapel UMC's food pantry on June 6-7.

Please plan to shop at the Mt. Airy Weis either day if you can help make a contribution.

Calvary members will be at Weis Sunday afternoon to make people aware of the event and to receive donations.

Calvary is serving the greater community and mission as an UMCOR Hub. Forty-five children, youth, and adults from Calvary verified, counted, and packed 1,132 hygiene kits for UMCOR!

Another church generously put together 1132 hygiene kits for UMCOR. Our job as a hub is to collect the items, double check that they have the items required, and to pack and send them on for use. Calvary members gathered together following worship for a time of service to check these kits to prepare them to be moved on for distribution.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) operates a relief supply depot and collaborates with affiliate warehouses across the U.S., which allows them to swiftly bring relief supply kits to those impacted by disaster.

Rev. Mark Gorman and Lay Member to Annual Conference Meredith Null had a great week at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. Thanks to Pastor Mark and Lay Member Meredith for their work at conference this past week.

Each year an equal number of clergy members and lay members attend their conference's annual conference session for worship, fellowship, and to conduct the business of the conference.

Sessions include reports of past and ongoing work; adoption of future goals, programs and budgets; ordination of clergy members as deacons and elders; and election of delegates to Jurisdictional and General Conferences (every 4 years). The bishop presides over these meetings.
