St. John's Church of Mount Aetna

St. John's Church of Mount Aetna St. John's Church is an independent non-denominational church affiliated with the Evangelical Association of Reformed & Congregational Christian Churches :St.

John's Church of Mt. Aetna...This we believe! We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, and the source of divine revelation of God to man. God shows us who He is, who we are, and what He wants from us. We believe that the Bible is unique! In all of literature it alone stands as the final authority on truth. Scripture alone. We believe in the one and only true God who is the Creator, Preser

ver, and Ruler of the universe. We believe in the Trinity-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The central figure of the Bible is our Lord Jesus Christ who is "Immanuel" or "God with us." It is the Christ, God who became man, who gives salvation to those who believe in Him. The fullness of God is focused in Jesus Christ and you can experience it. Christ alone. We are part of Christ's body. We depend on Christ, through the Holy Spirit, to direct all of us in the life and ministry of His church. We are evangelical, seeking to spread the message that Christ is Lord to all people in all places. We believe that all people are born with a sinful nature, thus separated from the life of God. They can be brought into the right relationship with God only through the repentance of sin and faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith alone. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). God extends grace, even though we do not deserve it, cannot earn it, and can never repay it. Grace alone. We believe it is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit; thereby being enabled for holy living and effective service. As believers, we depend upon the Holy Spirit to do what we could never do before; bring glory to God and love and serve others. All glory to God, alone. We believe the Church Is a body composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as its Savior and Lord. The local church is those who believe in Jesus Christ and regularly meet together for worship of God and instruction in His Word. We believe that we are to be faithful stewards in all things and that all things given to us, by God, as a great trust. We believe that we should be responsible with our time, our talents, and our monies to the glory of God, His Church, and His earthly kingdom. We of St. Aetna stand on the Word of God. The first book of the Bible tells of God's creating power in all things. We are told that God created man in His own image from dust and created woman from man. We believe that God created and ordained marriage for companionship and procreation between one man and one woman. Ephesians 5:31 says, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

We at St. John’s Church take a moment to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. From The American Revolution to Operation Epic Fury, we are all grateful for the price these men and women of our Armed Forces paid to keep this nation safe and free. The freedoms we hold dear are given to us by God and with Gods Divine Hand, He guides our heroes, and welcomes them into His Kingdom. He gives comfort this day and everyday to those left behind. Today we all come together in remembrance. May God continue to Bless America!
