Sunday, May 10th was such a special day in the life of our church!

We celebrated our Confirmation Class as they officially joined the church, and we are so proud of each of them for choosing to follow Christ and continue growing in their faith. Over the past 12 weeks, the confirmands met with John Riley and Mandy Vick to learn about church membership, discipleship, and what it means to live out their faith.

We also honored two of our beloved youth group seniors, James Lanier and Owen McCarty. These young men have played such an important role in our Youth Group through the years, and we are incredibly proud of them as they graduate from high school. We pray God’s blessings, peace, and guidance over the exciting journeys ahead of them. We will continue to celebrate graduates in the weeks ahead. Be sure that Paula has your graduates' information to add to the bulletin.

Finally, we were blessed to welcome Ondrej Zeman, one of the pastors from our sister church in the Czech Republic. He shared pictures and handmade decorations created by children from the church, reminding us of the beautiful connection we share across the world through Christ. We look forward to continuing this special relationship for many years to come. ❤️

MOREHEAD CITY — First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City has become the first church among its denomination in Eastern North Carolina to switch to solar energy to save on electricity

And just like that… we have solar panels! ☀️

This week, our installation was completed, and they look absolutely beautiful. We’re excited for the ways these panels will serve our church, not only through meaningful energy savings, but by being good stewards of God’s creation.

As we celebrate the great Candi Stewart on National Administrative Professionals Day… we are so grateful for all she does to keep things running smoothly and to serve our church with such care and dedication. We are truly blessed to have her!

🌎✨ In celebration of Earth Day, we’re excited to share that FPC is moving faithfully forward with solar... stepping into a brighter, more sustainable future!

Construction began this week on a new facility that will offset a significant portion of our electricity use and reflect our commitment to caring for God’s creation. 💛

Starting with Palm Sunday to our church and preschool Easter egg hunts, to Baskets of Blessings, and a very full Easter Sunday, what a beautiful week it has been! ✝️🌸

The love of Christ was truly felt in every moment. Thank you to everyone who worshipped with us throughout the week and on Easter Sunday. And to our visitors, we hope you will return; it was a joy to have you with us!

Maundy Thursday Service:
We invite you to worship with us this Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples and instituted Communion. It is a powerful evening that reflects on His humility, love, and servant leadership, as seen in His washing the disciples’ feet.

Flowering the Cross – Easter Sunday 🌸
On Easter morning, please bring flowers to place on the cross. This beautiful tradition symbolizes the new life that comes through Jesus’ resurrection. Together, we will transform the bare cross into a vibrant display of hope and celebration.
