Have you made your faith dependent on your expectations of God?

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus handled everyone so differently. He spoke a word to one person, touched another, and sometimes responded to someone who simply cried out to Him from the crowd. The method changed, but the source remained Jesus.

It's tempting to attach our faith to a certain person, place, experience, or process without us realizing it. Psalm 121:2 says, “My help comes from the Lord.” Keep your confidence there. Pray boldly, follow biblical wisdom, receive appropriate care, and leave room for God to work according to His wisdom rather than your preferred method.👀

Your confidence belongs in the character and authority of Jesus, because He is still worthy of your trust when the answer looks different than you imagined.🙌🏾

Men, some of the biggest battles you face are the ones nobody sees.

You carry responsibility, make decisions, provide for people, and keep moving, but there are still places where fear can make you hesitate. Joshua knew that kind of pressure. Can people tell that Jesus has been at work in your life?

Think about Zacchaeus... After encountering Jesus, he started looking at his money, his relationships, and the people he had wronged differently. His response showed that grace had changed his entire life; his desires, his choices, and his priorities.

Gratitude causes you to start handling differently what God has placed in your hands. You stop protecting habits He has exposed, you make things right where you can, and you become willing to obey Jesus in areas where you once resisted Him.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and for some of you, that carries a name, a face, or a part of your own story that few people know.

Maybe you have replayed the last conversation with someone you lost, wondered what you missed, or reached for your phone before remembering they will not answer. Maybe you know the other side of this story. You have gone to work, laughed with friends, answered texts, and quietly wondered whether you want to keep being here.

Jesus meets you in these places. He is not intimidated by your grief, questions, anger, or thoughts you are afraid to say out loud. Scripture shows us a God who draws near in anguish, listens to prayers that sound more like cries, and gives us people to help carry what has become too heavy to carry privately.

What good is hearing the Word on Sunday when you have already decided Monday will look exactly the same?

Sometimes the clearest evidence that Jesus is working in your life is found in everyday places: you apologize differently, you finally set the boundary wisdom requires, you walk away from the habit God has been dealing with you about, you forgive, you obey what Scripture says even when your old way still feels familiar.

Jesus intended to reshape your entire life as you submit more of yourself to Him. Take what God is showing you seriously enough to let it transform you.😌
