As spiritual leaders in the state of Alabama, we have a moral obligation to take a stand against injustice and inequality. When the most vulnerable members of our society are affected by unjust practices perpetuated by politicians, it is the duty of the righteous to rise up. Every pastor in the state of Alabama should advocate for justice and equality for all citizens. It is imperative that we do not claim to be holy while remaining silent in the face of unjust practices that harm any individual. As we strive to emulate the divine, we must remember that "Be ye Holy as He is Holy".
