Still feeling the joy from Eid 💫

We’re grateful to be featured by the Everett Herald highlighting our month of fasting.

Take a look at the coverage below.

Ramadan Mubarak to the thousands of Muslim Washingtonians beginning a month of fasting and prayer.

Sharing official City/County resources for anyone impacted by the December flooding. Please report damage by Dec. 31, 2025 and review the City’s recovery resources + permit guidance. Share widely so support reaches those who need it.

**STORM UPDATE #7: Report your flood damage; Tap into disaster assistance
It’s been a very difficult two weeks bracing for and surviving the historic rainfall (and then the strong winds) impacting Monroe. We are now in the recovery phase of this disaster.

If your home, property, or business has suffered flood damage, please report it to Snohomish County by Dec. 31, 2025. Go to https://snohomishcountywa.gov/ReportDamage to learn how to submit your information.

We’ve posted flood recovery resources to our city website at http://monroewa.gov/1309/Flood-Recovery. This webpage lists contact information for government and non-profit agencies who are offering disaster assistance to those who qualify. It also includes frequently asked questions. Please share this post on your neighborhood and business social media platforms to help share this information.

Also, if you need a city building permit to repair or replace structures damaged by the flood event, permit fees for eligible work are temporarily waived. If your project qualifies, you’ll need to apply by Feb. 17, 2026. Contact our Permit Center at 360-863-4501 or email [email protected] to get started.

Please read the full content of Storm Update #7 at https://monroewa.gov/civicalerts.aspx to learn more “storm status” updates.
