The cornerstone for the current St. Pius X Church was laid on October 12, 1912 for the former St. On January 31, 1946, fire destroyed most of the interior and roof, and damaged some of the windows. On September 4 1955, Immaculate Conception Church and St. John's Church were combined into one church. John Church became The current St. Pius X Church and Immaculate Conception was torn down in order to build the new St. Pius X School.

Today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity!

The word “trinity” is not found in the Bible. However, Scripture reveals to us that God is in fact Trinitarian.
Trinity comes from the Latin word trinitas which means “threefold” or “triad.” For us in English the word has “triune” as a derivative which means “three in one.”

We profess belief in the Trinity when we begin each prayer in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The understanding of a Triune God is shown as early as when St. Paul was writing (about 57 AD); see Paul's exhortation in 2 Corinthians 13:13.

The Trinity is the mystery at the heart of Christianity (CCC 261). It is not a mystery in the sense that someday some genius will solve it. It is a mystery in a religious sense. Namely, it is a deep truth/reality beyond anything we can fully understand (otherwise, we would be God).

On this blessed Solemnity, let us come to Mass, worship the Father, receive the Son, and be filled with the Holy Spirit as we ponder these mysteries in communion with one another, where we ourselves can reflect the very image of the Holy Trinity!

Don't go to church to be entertained. Don't go to church to experience a fleeting feeling.

Go to church for an encounter: an encounter with Divine Mercy, an encounter with grace, an encounter with the Word of God, an encounter with Heaven and Love Incarnate - Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

You don't have to "feel" a certain way to have this encounter.

You just have to come to Mass.
Come behold the Lamb.
Come encounter Jesus.
