The Bridge Urban Church The Bridge a multicultural, multiethnic, wholistic Wesleyan Church plant. We are the hub of an urban church multiplication movement throughout Northern IN

Apostle Terry Vaughn was ordained by Pastor Kenneth Hoskins in 2003. Years later he and his wife began their first ministry "Fit For The Kingdom Ministries" which was established in the year of 2007, in South Bend, Indiana. In 2012 both were Confirmed and Commissioned as Apostle and Prophetess by Apostle Willie Coats. Over the years they continued to serve in God's Kingdom fulfilling the calling.

They were introduced to the Wesleyan church where they are an effective and instrumental part serving since 2018. Apostle Terry & Prophetess Lennaire Vaughn believes that family is the first ministry. The two joined hands in marriage in the December 2000. Parenting 7 wonderful children Tevin, LeJonea, Terry, LaTerra, Charity, Faith, and Jacob and grandparents to 9 grandchildren.

One of the greatest hindrances to spiritual growth is pretending everything is fine when God is trying to reveal what’s really in our hearts. Before God changes our situation, He often exposes our condition.

David prayed a bold prayer because he understood that transformation begins with honesty.

Psalm 139:23–24 (KJV)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Sometimes we pray, “Lord, change them,” while God is saying, “I’m trying to change you.”

Awareness isn’t condemnation; it’s an invitation. God reveals so He can heal. He exposes so He can restore. He convicts because He loves.

Today, ask God to search your heart. Don’t defend it. Don’t ignore it. Let Him reveal anything that is keeping you from becoming who He created you to be.

This is where surrender begins.

Everybody wants to become… but very few are willing to surrender.

Here’s what I’ve learned: we love the promises of God, but we often struggle with the process. We want purpose without pruning, promotion without preparation, and victory without sacrifice.

The truth is, God is far more interested in who you’re becoming than simply where you’re going. Before David wore the crown, he tended sheep. Before Esther wore the crown, she went through preparation. Before Jesus walked in resurrection power, He surrendered in Gethsemane.

Luke 22:42 (KJV)
“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”

Surrender isn’t giving up. It’s giving God permission to lead.
