For all who just assumed that Bob was a part-time (or full-time 🤔) employee at church (I forgot myself sometimes!)… as you can see it turns out that he is just an AMAZING volunteer! We’re so grateful for all the ways big and small that Bob (along with so many other volunteers!) contributes to our ministry and life together. Congrats on the Eagle Award, Bob!! 🎉

Bob’s nominator describes him as an outstanding volunteer at First Lutheran Church, helping in big and small ways. "In this most recent example, Bob helped move our flower pots before the event, ensuring everything looked beautiful and welcoming. He didn’t wait to be asked — he simply saw a need and took action. Today we conclude our six-week series focusing on Jesus’ call to each of us to “Follow Me!” This Sunday we'll reflect on “Serve” — Jesus modeled a life of humble service and love. What steps can we take for others as we follow Jesus? We will read from Exodus 3:1-10, 4:10-15; Psalm 100; 1 Peter 4:7-11; John 13:1-5, 12-17, 34-35; while considering what this means for our life of faith today. We hope you can join us from wherever you may be!

We need you FLC Volunteers!! Fjord Folk Fest is this week!
We need 💪🏻strong stirrers to make the Rømmegrøt on Wednesday (19th) at 6:00 pm at the church.
👀 We still have shifts available at the auditorium during the event.
Friday (21st) 2 shifts 5 - 9 pm
Saturday (22nd) 1 shift 9 am - 1 pm
1 shift 1 - 5 pm
3 shifts 5 - 9 pm

It is the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost. Today we continue our six-week series focusing on Jesus’ call to each of us to “Follow Me!” This Sunday we'll reflect on while “following” usually implies activity, Jesus also stopped to rest. As his followers, we, too, are called to embrace this example with sabbath and rest, where we find peace in God’s presence and providing. We will read from 1 Kings 19:9b-13a;
Psalm 23; Philippians 4:4-9; Mark 4:35-41; while considering what this means for our life of faith today. We hope you can join us from wherever you may be!
