As this Memorial Day comes to a close, we pause one final time to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

While many spent today with family, food, laughter, and rest, we recognize that those freedoms came at a great cost.

Tonight, may our hearts carry gratitude for the fallen, compassion for the families who still feel the weight of loss, and honor for those who willingly laid down their lives for others.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Cedar Rock, thank you to our fallen heroes. We remember your sacrifice, and we will never forget. 🇺🇸

🔥 PENTECOST SUNDAY 🔥
There are moments in Scripture that do not merely mark history… they divide it.
Pentecost was one of them.

The disciples who once hid behind locked doors suddenly stood in the streets with boldness that shook nations. Fishermen became fire-carriers. Ordinary men and women became living temples of the Holy Spirit. Fear gave way to authority. Confusion gave way to clarity. Dry religion gave way to living power.
Acts 2 was never meant to be just a story we admire.
It was meant to be a reality the Church walks in.
When the Holy Spirit came, Heaven did not send entertainment.
He sent power.
He sent conviction.
He sent comfort.
He sent holiness.
He sent boldness.
He sent fire.
Not a fire that destroys people — but a fire that burns away dead things, awakens sleeping hearts, and lights the way back to Him.
So many believers today are exhausted trying to live spiritually alive lives without depending on the Spirit who gives life. We fill calendars, programs, meetings, and noise… but Pentecost reminds us that the Church was never built by human strength alone.
Before the disciples preached, they waited.
Before miracles happened, they surrendered.
Before thousands were added, they were filled.
And maybe that is the invitation for us today too.
Not just to do.
Not just to believe intellectually.
Not just to “be good people.”
But to be filled again.
Filled with courage where fear has lived.
Filled with peace where anxiety has ruled.
Filled with love in a bitter world.
Filled with conviction instead of compromise.
Filled with holy fire instead of spiritual exhaustion.
The same Spirit poured out in Acts 2 still moves today.
He still heals.
He still calls.
He still transforms.
He still empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom.
Pentecost is not about emotional hype.
It is about surrendering fully enough that the Spirit of God can truly move through us.

Today, don’t just remember Pentecost.
Respond to it.
Pray boldly.
Worship deeply.
Repent honestly.
Love radically.
Step out courageously.
Because dry bones still live when breath enters them.

And the Church is still strongest when it burns with the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost is more than a moment in history — it was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that changed everything.

Join us this Sunday, May 24 at 6 PM as we gather together in worship, prayer, and expectation for Pentecost Sunday. We would love for you to come encounter the presence of God with us.
