GOD is Good Morning - A Prayer for Us to Know God's Love - Our Daily Scripture Prayer - June 5

Dear God, Thank you for your love. There is nothing else like it. Help us to know your love and understand the distance it reaches.
When we are afraid, help us know how wide your love is. When we feel discouraged, help us know your love extends to the greatest lengths for us. When we are sad or lonely, let us know even the tallest mountain cannot compare to the height of your love. When we feel alone, help us know the depth of your love.
We pray this incomparable love will pierce our hearts and change our lives forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

GOD is Good Morning - A Prayer Against Anxious Thoughts - Our Daily Scripture Prayer - June 4

Lord, you are a good God with good intentions behind all the works of your hands. Help us see the areas where we’ve allowed lies to be sewn into our lives. Once they are revealed, help us to hand them over to you and allow you to remove them from our lives completely. We ask that once they are removed you would then fill the newly freed spaces with the truths of your word. In the midst of anxiety, help us always to look to you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Lord, we’re sorry that we continue to think of peace at such an earthly level. We repent for our desire to put a screen in front of our faces so as to drown out this chaotic world. Help us seek you in those moments when we want to grab any electronic device, bypassing you, through which we seek peace apart from you. Remind us that You are our peace (Micah 5:5) and that nothing can steal that promise away from us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Lord, sometimes we do not understand what you are doing in our lives. We often feel stuck, frustrated, and hopeless. We pray you will calm our hearts and surround us with your overwhelming peace. We pray we will turn to you sooner when doors close and when you tell us to be still. We pray for your guidance and wisdom in all that we do. We pray to know your desires for us and find rest and peace in you. Thank you for protecting us from the things only you know would bring us harm.

Dear Lord, as we rise to meet each new day, please let us be filled with Your spirit. Wherever we go, let us spread love, joy, peace, goodness, and faithfulness. Let us desire to become more like you and to worship you in all we do. Help us desire these things so much more than the sin that entices us. Thank you for always going before us. Lord, we thank you today that you are all-powerful, all-knowing and always perfectly good. Thank you for your daily mercies to us as we struggle through such challenging times. Father, we confess that we do not seek your presence as we ought. We confess that we have settled for lesser things, when we know you desire us to have a personal, close relationship with you. Lord, revive our love for you. Draw close, let us know your presence in our lives. And help us to in turn share your love with our neighbors. Lord, we put our hope in your unfailing love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
